Hey, thanks for caring enough to be snippy AND to edit your post so his name is spelled right!

LOL GIANTS select ... Dwight Freeney, OLB

Can somebody PM Laddie please.

Are you really going to play him as an OLB or is he a designated as an OLB the way Lawrence Taylor was an OLB? (i.e. rushing the passer more than 90% of the time)

Freeney still has value as a DE & pass rusher. But I don't think he's replacement level as an OLB in coverage.

With our selection, the Green Bay Packers continue working to improve the offensive line, and look forward to seeing Rob Sims, OG protecting our QB.

The Saints are going to select C Will Montgomery

I had him on my short list last time around, and am happy to see him make his way back to me.  I don't pretend to know a lot about center play, but PFF ranked him highly, he'll be a reasonably spry 30 this season, and has had his O-face down since high school.

Excellent job, both on the pic and pick. Had him at the top of my list for my next selection.

Super busy at work so didn't have as much time to look into these picks as I would have liked. Also going to skip a write-up.

Vikings select:

Jared Cook, TE and Alterraun Verner, CB.

Saints select ILB Jerrell Freeman

Freeman went undrafted out of Mary Hardin-Baylor (?) college in 2008, and spent three years in the CFL before signing with the Colts last offseason.  He proved he belonged in the NFL, and was solid against the run and the pass.

Did you PM him to tell him you just drafted his middle LB from round 10?

Thanks for your vote of confidence Saturnian, but yeah, that's my guy. I'll give you some time to find someone while I'm figuring out my pick.

Shee-it, my bad.  I checked the draft sheet, but didn't get a hit on account of a missing 'r' in his first name (should probably have looked for 'Freeman' instead of 'Jerrell')

The Saints will switch gears and select S MIchael Huff

Huff moved to CB this season due to injuries in the Oakland secondary, but I'll move him back to FS.  I do love the versatility, though, and the fact that the Raiders just released him bodes well too.

The Broncos select the deep threat WR they sorely need...

Malcom Floyd, WR

Pretty happy to reunite him with Philip Rivers. Along with Golden Tate and Heath Miller, he should provide some good production for the next four years or so. I love his catch rate and deep threat abilities, my only worry is how long he'll remain productive. But that's a risk I'm willing to take at this point in the draft.

Sending a pm now.

Or his ability to, you know, stay on the field.

With this pick, we wanted to address a hole in our secondary, and we felt that we got the best player left on the board. So the Green Bay Packers happily select Tramon Williams, CB

Laddie is pretty close to out of time.

For the last pick, he sent a list of two guys to Proxy and got the first one.  The second guy played the same position (LG) and Laddie never said anything about proxying two picks, so I'm assuming that he doesn't want to draft him as well and that it would be better to skip him in a few minutes.

Laddie was up late last night lambasting 502toRight about Brandon Spikes' twitter feed and the the future of America's children. And if his previous proxy had two players at one position, it should not be used and he should be skipped until he does emerge from hibernation.

Yes, he was doing God's work, which I appreciate greatly.

However, he's still getting skipped - PM sent to ilol@u.

A whopping five players we haven't taken yet, and three more we didn't take until the 300s.

Curious picks: the dudes we haven't taken yet, Orlando Franklin as a left tackle. One thing to keep in mind with their LT run is that they don't have 2013 draftees in their pool, so guys like Joeckel / Fisher / Johnson / Armstead aren't on the table. That makes the position quite a bit thinner.

Top 10 guys we took they haven't yet:
Arian Foster (28), Jerod Mayo (66), Harrison Smith (68), Derrick Johnson (71), Marshawn Lynch (81), Alfred Morris (89), LeSean McCoy (90), Alex Smith (95), Jamaal Charles (100), Jason Peters (101). Surprised Peters hasn't gone yet with all the LT off the board. 5 of these 10 are RBs, which shows how they don't value the position too much (only Peterson, Spiller, Richardson, and Martin have gone through 5 rounds).

Wait, speaking as the guy who drafted him, did they actually draft Adrian Clayborn to play tackle, or is that a typo, either from you or from their site?

That's on me; they drafted him as a DE.

Sooo I know Amendola will be playing with Eli and real life doesn't really matter, buuuut I'm hoping that pick looks like a god damn steal in 3-5 years.

Suck on that KFP.
