Ha, Minihane wanted to fight Fred.

Listening to D&C talk about it how Fred backed down and is afraid of Minihane, then listening to Fred just mocking Kirk for being a fake tough guy.

I guess in each situation you can make it what you want.

D&C #4 in December.

Fred just had a fantastic rant against Minihane (without naming him) who approached him during a break while he was walking by and Minihane wined because Fred called him out for not reaching out to Rich and his wife.

I can't do it justice but it was great.

Hahaha, now they have Frank reading A Gronking to Remember as Morgan Freeman. Outstanding.

I haven't laughed this hard in a long time

The Gronking to Remember reading with Caliendo was outstanding. I would have loved to have heard the whole thing with the Pacino impression. I lost it when he did that for one sentence.

I actually heard both guys versions of the showdown as i did switch to D&C during a commercial for T&R. Minihane and Callahan definitely played it off like Fred was a pussy and backed down to him. Obviously Fred said it went down another way. Minihane was definitely trying to play himself up as some kind of tough guy for sure and Gerry backed his play. I am sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle as Fred repeatedly has said that off air he doesn't have a huge issue with anyone else. That may have changed now though.

Based solely on Minihane's whining about who supported him with Andrews, D&C being 4th in the ratings, SPORTZ DEBATE, and Fred's version that Minihane was whining that he has a wife and two kids, I fully believe Fred's story.

That he didn't want to deal with it this morning, said it was shitty that Kirk never reached out to Rich and Mary while whining about Andrews, and walked away.  He even said he heard them talking like tough guys after he left.  What's Fred going to do?  Get into a shouting match with him or a fight?  No he's going to walk away.

This was my takeaway from it too. This isn't junior high school.

As Fred said something along the lines of  "The fact that two 40 year old men, working for major corporations, are going to get into a physical fight at the Super Bowl, or anytime is ludicrous"

Meanwhile D&C and Kirk are yucking it up like if Fred didn't "whiz down his leg" there would have been a physical fight on media row at 5am. I did enjoy D&C mocking them that Pagano sent Rich a letter and Gerry saying "well i was out for 4 months and no one ever said anything to me from their camp" When was Gerry out? when they were at BCN? I'm not sure how that's relevant.

It's amazing how much Fred has gotten under all of their skin.

Yeah, according to Wikipedia Gerry was out in 2007 and they joined BCN in 2006, they weren't competitors though until 2009.

Good for Fred for walking away and writing D&C off for good.  Have fun playing in 4th place.

No I agree. What I meant was I am sure Fred did say something along the lines of "I wasn't referring to you" and apologized for the confusion and he was over it while Minihane turned that into Fred being a pussy.

Rich taking a well deserved victory lap because it appears his sources are right. Breer puking on his shoes trying to defend the leagues stance. What a clown

Not sure the point of that interview, other than perhaps he was the only person on the floor that early in the AM that they had heard of?

I'd prefer hearing them go back and forth with some Seattle sports radio guys (is Mike Salk there?) about the upcoming GAME

That's how radio row works at the Super Bowl. People just wander around and give interviews to plug stuff. A lot of random people usually get on. Also, anything with Seattle hosts would have been tough because T&R is over and it is just now only 7am their time.

Like Donte Stallworth only sitting down with them so he could charge his phone.

That was legitimately awesome  (seriously, no snark)

That was hilarious and he was a really good guest. The best part was them going to commercial and him saying he wanted to stay on to finish the charge

Great opening montage. Fred sounds like he hasn't slept in a week. Rich is steering the show, which is probably a good decision.

EDIT: Fred is killing this show right now, lots of awkward silence. They'd be better off without him today.

I turned it off. They were way out of touch today. I thought they'd bask in the awesomeness that is today but instead they had an ill-timed Adolfo drunken recap bit and didn't present the celebratory "Soak it in, Pats fans!" show that they should have. I get they're tired, but it came off badly on the Pats flagship station and I usually love T&R.

Great rant about the deflate nonsense towards the end.  Whatever happened earlier, they seemed in tune and in touch by 9:30.

Couldn't really disagree more with this, maybe you turned in at the wrong time but everything I heard was awesome, including the drunken recap.

That was great.  When they set up the Brady bit, Rich said something like "It's waterslide time."  Hilarious.

Tanguay embarrassing himself right now trying to keep Mort's original Deflatgate report alive. I thought this moron was effectively fired from 98.5? Get him off my radio.

Tanguay reading the new Gronk erotica is hilarious.

Tanguay calling in to defend Mortenson with absolutely no evidence and shouting down their arguments is really really shitty. He sucks so bad. How the fuck does he still have a job in this market? What a joke

If Mort knew his report had any balls, he'd have doubled down on it by now and he hasn't.

Tanguay is upping the hate to generate buzz around him now that he is no longer employed by the Patriots. He did the same thing with the Celtics. He tried to play it off like the shackles had been removed but the truth was he just knew he was losing any sense of being relevant he had so he started grasping and playing the heel role. He's now doing the same thing with the Patriots.

Roachie is definitely my favorite guest that they have on. The back and forth between him and Fred is always awesome. Looking forward to a full week of interviews.

Not by name, but out in Utah, like 4 to 4 1/2 hour drive from Vegas. How much does Rich make? Could he afford this place?

I think that's it. He said that when you enter the town into weather.com it says it doesn't recognize it. And if you enter in Canyon Point,UT, it doesn't recognize it.

And he says to drive there you go near Zion National Park, and the directions take you right next to the park.

It doesn't look like it's *that* difficult a drive from the highway.  And the headline refers to $7K/night, but the article mentions

If owning a villa in the desert is too great of a commitment, deep-pocketed vacationers can come to Amangiri for a quick getaway, with nightly rates starting at $1,100 for a desert view suite.

so that's not really crazy in the scheme of luxury resorts

Plus, with all the crap that he and his wife have been through in the past couple of years, they deserve a "screw it, lets go and not care about money right now" vacation.

I see the route goes through Kanab, that's where we stayed when we visited Zion and Bryce a few years ago

Rich has no problem affording that resort. He and Fred do very, very well just on TSH money alone.

No idea what they make, and i really don't care, but the fact that Fred owns in Newton and Rich was renting on Boylston for years and now just bought a new condo on the Commons indicates they are fine.

Ordway was over a million a year right? They're probably nowhere near that, but clearly the money is good and at least they've earned it.

I understand that the 6-7 A.M. hour is tough and not many are listening, but T & R can be downright brutal in this hour.  Unfortunately, this is when i listen, from about 6-6:45.  I know its not going to be the best radio, but Fred sometimes has his classic rants here, I can get the big news of the previous night in "What You Missed Last Night" (though I don' think they NEED to do this everyday), but whatever.  This week has been absolutely horrible during this time.  Literally, all three days this week they have talked about 2 things, Rich's trip and how remote the area is an how he will get lost and why Rich loves to drive in the desert and Ray Ferraro's bobble head doll that witnessed Fred and his future wife banging after their second date, which was a Thrasher game where he got the bobble head. I am not exaggerating when I say that they talked about these two topics for 24 of the 32-34 minutes that they have of air time in the 6 A.M. hour (with last nights highlights being the other 10 or so minutes) Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
