Good lord. Romy is out? One of the only good things about yesterday's game is that he seemed to be fine at shortstop (although I didn't catch half the game). I've become fixated, perhaps overly so, on having a quality defensive shortstop and I don't think Hamilton (or anyone on the roster) is that guy. Maybe Romy isn't either, but my overall unfamiliarity with him plus a very small sample size of apparent adequacy was enough to give me reason for hope.
Maybe if he stopped swinging at every pitch like he's trying to chop a tree down with one blow of an axe. H'e s not going to last long if he keeps that up.
