They'd have to cut someone to bring up a player from Maine, though, right? Other than the two guys on 2-way contracts currently (Bird and Allen).
That's correct. They'd have to cut someone to bring up a player from Maine, though, right? Other than the two guys on 2-way contracts currently (Bird and Allen).
Once he went down, as big a deal as it is, they had no room for anymore significant injuries if they wanted to make a run at the Finals. That's not too realistic as we've seen in the last couple of weeks. Damn.Well, this playoff run isn't looking to be as long as it once looked. A hobbled Kyrie, no Smart for a while, no Theis, no Hayward.
I actually think that this really means that the exact result you would have predicted vis a vis Smart and Rozier’s Celtics’ careers a couple of years ago is going to come to pass, for the exact opposite reason that you would have predicted then.So Smart might have played his last game as a Celtic. Damn.
More or less.I actually think that this really means that the exact result you would have predicted vis a vis Smart and Rozier’s Celtics’ careers a couple of years ago is going to come to pass, for the exact opposite reason that you would have predicted then.
Rozier is hitting RFA status the summer that those crazy cap spike contracts start coming off the books, so he’s almost certain to draw a sub max, but still unaffordable by Boston luxury tax calculations, offer in free agency. Whereas Smart is hitting free agency with an injured hand in the worst possible summer.
So the odds are that Smart signs a three or four year MLE deal with an ETO for financial security, while I suspect that Boston gives a lot of consideration to trading Rozier this summer to maximize their return as they’re just not going to be able to justify $13-$15 million/year (plus luxury taxes) on Irving’s backup.
I'm just hoping the Warriors are up to the job.Heaven pity the team the Celtics are tied with 3-3 in the playoffs and has to deal with Marcus Smart suddenly unleashed.
I like your style.I'm just hoping the Warriors are up to the job.
Hopefully he’s been cleared by the doctor to shoot but not by Stevens.
Shams says he should be back on April 27.
His shooting is so bad the thumb injury might accidentally improve it.Hopefully he’s been cleared by the doctor to shoot but not by Stevens.
Like a tornado through Chelsea. His shooting is so bad the thumb injury might accidentally improve it.
Hey now. That poor city has survived two Great Fires...Like a tornado through Chelsea.
Does "non-contact shooting" refer to the basket? His shooting is so bad the thumb injury might accidentally improve it.
