I cant see any professional player laying down for next year or for a rookie pick.

I will admit, I don't want the Patriots to win this side of February.

That said, If you are going to take one for the team, go out Opie style in Sons of Anarchy..

I cried so hard when I saw this in real time and damn it still rocks my brain.

I am guessing no thread here ever advocated for a loss, but I am. I am saying go out Opie.

Eight years ago my parents came down for this game. It was the first time they met my future in-laws, and the six of us sat in the seats my FIL owned for about 50 years before passing them down to the daughters.

It was absolutely beautiful sunny day, perfect fall football weather. Both teams were at least still moderately relevant, the Pats certainly more so as it was during their second set of 3 SBs. And the game was incredible. Amendola had the fake punt return where he caught the whole D sleeping by signaling for everyone to get out of the way (I nearly got into a whole thing with the guy behind me who claimed “IT’S DECEPTION!!”). Pats ultimately won on a classic last minute drive capped off by a long FG.

Now 8 years later, we return to these very same teams with each fan base probably rooting harder for the opponent, who will be playing god knows who at QB. And it might rain. Woof. Making steak and eggs though, so at least we’ll have something.

Edit: If anyone else is going, we’ll be tailgating in section L16 with a dual Giants/Pats cornhole set. I’ll be rocking my Ty Law and wife will probably be in her LT jersey.

With all due respect to the OP, when Opie is used with respect to the NYFG, its f'ing Eli. He is the one and only Opie.

I feel conflicted laying the points with the Pats today.

Beat the NYFG and bury them in the Meadowlands
