C's are +35 with MK on the court, - 43 off, by my imperfect math. This was crappy basketball. But it was still a fun game to watch.
On another note, Kabengele may make the team.
NBA.com had him +26. Franks was -22 and Williams -15. Playing one or both of Hauser and Ryan at all times means that opposing teams have fairly easy path to the rim. Kabengele is only deterrant to easy layups or put-backs.C's are +35 with MK on the court, - 43 off, by my imperfect math.

Justin Jackson with 24 minutes and 2-8 from 3P. He's certainly not shy.
That was a pretty entertaining game.
Last summer, Nesmith was the sniper Nesmith was supposed to be.Matt Ryan is the sniper Nesmith was supposed to be.
Nesmith scored a lot in Vegas last year, but he wasn't anything special (36 percent) from 3-point range. Through two games, Ryan is 10 for 19 from beyond the arc.Last summer, Nesmith was the sniper Nesmith was supposed to be.
Two summer league games. I'm going to hold back on my enthusiasm for now. I do hope they give him a contract.Nesmith scored a lot in Vegas last year, but he wasn't anything special (36 percent) from 3-point range. Through two games, Ryan is 10 for 19 from beyond the arc.
I'm not sure about the rest of his game, but Ryan is a big-time shooter. He showed that in the G League too, I believe. Two summer league games. I'm going to hold back on my enthusiasm for now. I do hope they give him a contract.
I think a 2-way contract would be a huge win for him in Boston. Obviously needs to work on footwork/defense, but he could use Strus as a template. Similar body types, Brady 2" taller (don't have his standing/wingspan) which helpsTwo summer league games. I'm going to hold back on my enthusiasm for now. I do hope they give him a contract.
Didn't watch last night's game except for the highlights, but was a little disappointed defensively in Begarin in the first. He was fine, just not really impressive. Best thing I can say was he was aggressive on offense and made the right pass consistently. What a couple of dunks though.Begarin flashed his athleticism in the fourth, thank Buddha, but the kid still looks like a G-leaguer overall. Davison not much better. You can see a path to an NBA player inside of those guys but not any time soon IMO.
I am confident that Begarin's lapses on defense and occasionally being beaten with speed is more bad habits and lack of experience against elite athletes than a physical problem. He was a bit better than game 1 in moving his feet. The offense is farther away.Didn't watch last night's game except for the highlights, but was a little disappointed defensively in Begarin in the first. He was fine, just not really impressive. Davison really needs help with his handle. Other than a baby crossover, he's got no escape moves, no fluidity, and although his first step is good, he dribbles so high that anyone can take the ball away from him.
I like Kabengele. A little too small to play center for long and would get eaten up by a lot of NBA centers, but seemed good at staying in front of guys and positionally was pretty solid on D. I think with some coaching he could hold up as well as Theis did. Three point shot looks good, too, and he offers a little rim-running.
Are the athletes in the G league the 2nd best in the world? As far as basketball, anyway.I am confident that Begarin's lapses on defense and occasionally being beaten with speed is more bad habits and lack of experience against elite athletes than a physical problem. That's a really good question. I'd say for explosion, probably. And Euro maybe has more skill. Are the athletes in the G league the 2nd best in the world? As far as basketball, anyway.
His athleticism is certainly not the problem. Hope he figures out this stuff out.I am confident that Begarin's lapses on defense and occasionally being beaten with speed is more bad habits and lack of experience against elite athletes than a physical problem. Isn't he about the same size as Al and TL? We've seen Al hold up pretty well against guys like Embiid.
He has a few pounds over Al and TL too.His athleticism is certainly not the problem. Hope he figures out this stuff out.
You're right. Quick Google tells me he's got a standing reach of 9"1.5. Rob's is 9"4, Horford is 8"11.
I guess I was worried he'd get pushed around by bigger centers like Embiid, but very few can withstand that.
I guess the fact that I'm looking for faults and having trouble finding them is a good sign for him?
Hot take, Kabengele >>> Wisemanwiseman looks real bad defensively
He even looks a bit like his uncle Dikembe.Kabengele can play. Good athlete, good defender, good rebounder. Wouldn’t hate to have him as the break glass in case of emergency big
Considering the Cs glaring need in the front court it would seem like he has the inside track on making the team. He's looked like the best player on the Cs summer league roster and he plays the very position they are looking to fill. Probably not the ideal solution to the backup C problem but about as good as you can expect from an unsigned summer league invite..Kabengele can play. Good athlete, good defender, good rebounder. I like Kornet more than most fans do, but I'm kind of wishing the C's had waited until after summer league to talk contract with him. Kabengele would probably be a better No. 4 option at center, with a vet filling the No. 3 role.Considering the Cs glaring need in the front court it would seem like he has the inside track on making the team. Maybe for pure athleticism, maybe, but I think these G league teams would get wrecked by the best Euro teams. Definitely defer to the more knowledgeable global hoops aficionados though….That's a really good question. I'd say for explosion, probably. And Euro maybe has more skill.

A GSW fan said that Kabengele merely dominated the minutes Wiseman wasn’t on the court. I didn’t watch the game. Any truth to that or was it just a sour fan? Of course, one could ask, if that were true, why Wiseman didn’t dominate the minutes Kabengele wasn’t on the floor.Kabengele outplayed Wiseman
I didn’t really notice Wiseman much for the entire game, but I did notice that he looked clueless on defense. The Warriors had trouble boxing out Kab for much of this game, including in crunch time, when Wiseman was on the court. I can always count on TIMI to come up with a quick highlight package. If you happen to miss a Celtics game and you wanna see how a certain player did go to his YouTube channel . It looks to me that Kab scored half of his points on Wiseman and got a bunch of rebounds and assists.A GSW fan said that Kabengele merely dominated the minutes Wiseman wasn’t on the court. If Kabengele is added, would still expect PBS to add a back-up 3rd string veteran 5.I like Kornet more than most fans do, but I'm kind of wishing the C's had waited until after summer league to talk contract with him. Thanks. If the C's could make it work, I'd love for them to hold onto Kabengele to see how he develops. If Kabengele is added, would still expect PBS to add a back-up 3rd string veteran 5.
The Celtic's have 3 spots left on the roster and 1 two-way spot, so Brad is auditioning a bunch of people. He also has (4) 2nd picks next year to make a move for some other teams depth at the 5
I think he's a 27 year old beating up on other younger guys who aren't NBA players. Maybe he gets a placeholder deal like he has the last few years, but I wouldn't expect anything. What are the board's thoughts on Justin Jackson? He is on the older side but played exceptionally well. Jackson keeps showing he belongs in the NBA but does he belong with the Celtics? He's 27, and his 3PT% career numbers have some variance, but perhaps it's a reps thing. He lit it up yesterday and lit it up against Puerto Rico a few days back, tying the record for most points in a USA Basketball World Cup Qualifying Team game. He showed deep range yesterday and vision to make the extra pass. Maybe he's figuring it out. Is he a late bloomer or just a mature player taking advantage of much weaker competition?
Edit: Looking further at his game log, I didn't recall a 10-day contract with the Celtics between 12/18 - 12/28. In his limited minutes, does anyone remember how he looked?
