Seriously, how dumb was that challenge?
Y'know, in cricket each team gets a certain number of replay challenges per innings, but if the decision is close enough, the challenging team doesn't lose its challenge even if the decision goes against it. I wonder if NFL replay would work better, or at least seem fairer, with a similar system in place.
No. Like, hard no. More rules will only make replay worse.
Bears just let Harris get the first down with no effort to stop it.
Maybe the solution is to give each team only one challenge per game, but if the final ruling is "Call Stands", they get to keep the challenge. (Referees would be encouraged to take a stand on when "Call is Upheld" should be the ruling instead.)
