Certainly today Jeremy Lane has looked like a guy in his first game back, and we know Cary Williams has been terrible when in there. In the games I've seen that weakness exposes Chancellor, whose pass defense has gotten very fringy (at best). Was willing to call that readjustment initially, but looking like a trend to me now.

They showed the replay with the bobble like 10 times before Carey's "oh, I see..."

Retired professional ref there.

I think his left hand had it and he just adjusted his right.

And thanks Dano. It seemed with my limited viewing the Dline was allowing too much time.

The bobble was almost imperceptible even on replay.

It was a great throw and catch. Was the reversal right? I guess probably, but football is a shittier game if that's not a catch. And I hate the Steelers.
I'm watching it on an SD broadcast and it was patently obvious to me. I'm sort of surprised people thought it was a catch at all.

Could not disagree more, and I don't care which team it was. They got it right, and I saw the bobble on the first replay. It's what the cameras are for.

No. The microscopic super slow motion of two hands on the ball is stupid. There is a bobble and not a bobble. Not a bobble there. But there is apparently no common sense judgment allowed in the replay booth.
.
You can"microscopically" bobble all you want in the field of play, but if you want to make a catch on the sideline, you need to have complete control with two feet down. That's the way it should be.

To me, that's not a bobble but readjusting his grip on the ball.
By the letter of the law a no catch but seems to be just like over analyzing the foot barely coming off the bag while sliding in baseball.

Roethlesberger really does hang in the pocket waiting for a play to develop---gotta admire that.

Agree. He had it. He moved his hands to further secure it.

The way their defense is playing I think that is a horrific decision by Tomlin... which of course is not surprising

Don't like the decision to kick the FG there. No confidence in the D to stop Seattle from picking up two first downs.

I don't like the call with only two timeouts and how Seattle has beaten this steelers secondary in the 4th.

Of course, Pete here will probably call something stupid like three runs to contradict the logic of my prior sentence. Whatever.

Would've been more beneficial for Ben to throw it away rather than try and scramble it in.
Only if he knew his coach wouldn't GFI. I would've kicked on 4th down from the 10; from the 4, I think he should've gone for the TD.

Penalty saves the Steelers some time too.
