Maybe not worth posting, but Yahoo is featuring it prominently on its home page...

http://sports.yahoo.com/news/the-other-patriots-conspiracy-theory--legarrett-blount-s-scheme-to-reunite-with-bill-belichick-233502306-nfl.html

Did Blount engineer his release from the Pittsburgh Steelers earlier this season because he knew the Patriots wanted him back? Did someone tell him he had a job waiting for him? Is this Super Bowl a reward for a twisted scheme?
On Tuesday, Blount repeatedly reacted to those questions with little more than Cheshire grins and half-hearted denials. One exchange in particular:

"Did you know you had a job with New England before you left Pittsburgh?"
Long pause. Big smile. No answer.
"Why would you leave if you didn't know in the back of your mind that they were waiting to call you?"
Big smile. Subtle laugh.
"I didn't know nothin'," Blount said.

Blount conspired to get into a situation where he was forced to take league minimum next year. Makes too much sense not to be true.

We should probably lock this. It's old news and not the first time this idiocy has been brought up. Reacting to this at all only enables these morons.

I'd agree; but the last time I made a similar point, all hell broke loose

Tom Brady purposely looked like someone's kid brother at the Combine so he'd drop to where the Patriots could draft him without having to use a high pick on him.  The proof is being kept as a 4th QB in an era where that never happened.

Did the Patriots have the same agreement with Ray Rice that fell apart when he was suspended? I think at this point you have to consider the troubling possibility that Belichick instructed Rice to assault his wife in that elevator to engineer his release. There is no less evidence that he did just that than there is that he's guilty of these Blount allegations.

Can we lock any new threads in BBTL that have the word "gazi" in them at all.
Makes my blood pressure rise just to see the word now.

In fact I think we should replace all gender specific curse words with "gazi".  This will kill two birds with one stone, don't be a gazi.

Since it's Pittsburgh we're talking about, how about we call it even for the Jerome Iginla tampering they did in 2013?

I couldn't disagree more. Ballghazi is one of the best nicknames I've ever heard for anything "scandal" (alleged or otherwise) related.

Let's just hope Goodell doesn't Void the AFCCG, because then this might become a Government Issue.  I'd like to think the NFL can Embrace its collective Gray Matter here, but they're acting dumber than a barrel of Velvet Monkeys.

The only solution is to enact The Dismemberment Plan to stop the Patriots. And they'll use The Most Secret Method possible.

In My Eyes, after the Patriots beat Baltimore, they knew the next game would be a Ten Yard Fight. This American Nightmare known as "Deflate Gate." certainly isn't helping. Goodell should just Give Up the Ghost.

Cut The Shit, I have No Tolerance as the pats Converge on the big game. We should stop looking for a Scapegoat and other things that are the Bane of pats fans, and turn our eyes to the Gang Green of the northwest.

There are no rules prohibiting the way in which Blount ended up in New England, unless it is determined that the Patriots somehow tampered to obtain his services. Perhaps there should be a rule that a player who quits one team and is cut cannot be immediately signed by another, but that would have to be addressed in the offseason and discussed with the NFL Players Association.

The NFLPA would never approve that. They want their players to find work no be penalized.

I know, but that was only the second dumbest part of it, since there's a little thing already in place called the waiver process and, in this case, all 31 teams actually passed on him.

It also runs against the basic fucking notion that teams only cut players when they determine it to be in their best interests to do so; if the player ending up on another team is a concern, then it's up to the team to factor that into its determination.

As a rule, acting like an asshole and getting cut is not a way to a long and prosperous career in the NFL.  The Blount situation is really an anomaly.

One of the main non-#DeflateGate questions this week relates to whether any sort of winking and/or nodding occurred in connection running back LeGarrette Blount’s release from the Steelers and return to the Patriots.

Carolyn Manno of NBCSN’s Pro Football Talk asked Blount directly — and pointedly — about whether Blount is bothered by the suspicion that he tried to get fired by the Steelers in November, paving the way for his return to New England.

“No it doesn’t bother me, people are going to assume what they are going to assume, I can’t change their minds,” Blount said.

“Are they right?” Manno asked.

“It doesn’t matter.”

“But it does matter,” Manno replied.

“Why does it matter?”

“Because if they’re right then that wouldn’t have been allowed.”

“It doesn’t matter,” Blount said. “People don’t know what they are taking about they just know what they think and everyone is entitled to their opinion whether it’s right or wrong.”

That’s hardly a convincing denial from Blount, who would have been wiser to say that he passed through waivers after he was released and any team could have claimed him and no one did. Instead, three teams made waiver claims for running back Ben Tate, who’d been released by the Browns the same day.

If it was a scam, it was perfectly executed. Blount quit on the Steelers one day after Patriots running back Jonas Gray torched the Colts for 201 yards, creating the clear impression that the Patriots would have no desire to reunite with Blount.

You missed the part where I said any NEW threads with the name should be locked.  Ballghazi is great, but come up with something else at this point.  I mean we are talking about LeGarrette Blount, his title should write itself.  Could be worse, at least OP didn't go with Blountgate...

Sorry the original title didn't satisfy you. I changed it.
