One more thing on Durant. As was noted upthread, the Clippers re-signed Austin Rivers which essentially means KD is not coming to them. And I would submit that the Mavericks signing Harrison Barnes to a max deal could also be a sign. Many teams were incentivized to wait for the Durant situation to play out because if the Warriors failed to get him, the thought was that they would match any offer sheet given to Barnes. Finally, Horford noting that uncertainty was a problem with OKC also suggests that both KD and Westbrook are likely leaving after next season.

I think so yes, but after a tremendous pitch from LA...and them now being out suggests something afoot.
Someone who knows, help me understand -- why the Heat? Is older Wade that much of a draw? Is it just the location? I don't see it, but that's me.
The hypothetical draw would be a core of Whiteside, Dragic, Bosh, Wade, Winslow which is good, no taxes, Miami etc.
Problem is you have to be sure Wade will agree to take another massive paycut when he's taken less than he could have something like 7 years in a row, AND you have to be confident Bosh is going to be 100% healthy going forward, also a huge question mark.

The Spurs meetings have historically been on the shorter side. That's Buford's standard pitch so I wouldn't read anything into it.
