Ugh. The "Patriots Way" is media-created bullshit.Cabin Mirror said:How do you guys feel about "Patriots Run the East"? Why not just AFCE Champs? Probably not a big deal, but seems a little cocky and "un-Patriot-wayish".
I'm guessing they'll sell 10x more of these than another lame AFC division champs shirt you can usually buy at Bobs in 2 weeks for $4.99.Cabin Mirror said:How do you guys feel about "Patriots Run the East"? No, seriously. It was at halftime. The guy bought a scratcher ticket and the prize was to get to try for $1 million at halftime of a Patriots game. 24 of the cheerleaders each had a six foot Massachusetts lottery ticket with an envelope with a prize and laid them out on the field. Two had $1 million, some had lesser amounts, and some had nothing. The guy said if he won he was going to get his wife a new kitchen, walked over to number 12 and they asked him why and he said it was Brady's number, and he won $1 million. They wrote out one of those big checks for him on the field, took some pictures, and then the Patriots outscored the Dolphins 27-0. Clearly related, right? Seems like he should get game ball consideration.Dan to Theo to Ben said:So you're not joking?

It's on all the shirts. Wife is a colts fan, shirt I just picked up from their site is "Colts run the South."Cabin Mirror said:How do you guys feel about "Patriots Run the East"? Why not just AFCE Champs? Probably not a big deal, but seems a little cocky and "un-Patriot-wayish".

Yet another AFC East title, yet another season with 11+ wins, yet another playoff run in January with a HoF QB and Coach? I'm so fucking lucky to root for this team.

How is he ahead of Dennard? Special Teams? He also actually started yesterday, so maybe he was the 3rd/4th guy coming in. Need to see the snap count.Devizier said:
To be fair, he's the 5th CB. The real issue was that the Patriots ended up with him on man coverage with Mike Wallace. How did that happen?
He's incredible, and had crucial catches to really start rolling in the 3rd Quarter. That said, the fumble and the pass that hit him in the chest were bad, so I'm giving him a B+, not an A.reggiecleveland said:Edelman needs more love.

1. Tom Brady: True, a few missed/low throws. But there's almost no way to sufficiently appreciate watching a Hall of Famer week after week. That TD throw to Gronk? The scamper? Maybe all of us should have to sit and watch the Jets/Titans game at some point this week before we say another bad word about Tommy B.
2. The Secondary, esp. McCourt and Revis (5 targets, 3 catches, 23 yards, Harmon INT): Just a hell of a unit. Apart from the insane Wallace TD they smothered the Dolphins for most of the game, and particularly in the 2nd half were just untouchable. That open-field tackle by Logan Ryan at the end of the game exemplified a unit that doesn't screw around.
3. The D-Line, esp. Wilfork, Jones, Nink: All day long these guys were collapsing the pocket without blitzing and keeping contain so that Tannehill couldn't get out of the pocket and run. Impressive.
Oh, and Steven Gostkowski: Congrats on an impressive achievement. One of the most underrated Special Teamers in the league.
HMs:
- Jonas Gray: The most explosive RB on the field today.
- Vollmer: Handed Wake extremely well.
- Siliga: No one is running on this defense.
- Gronk: Who knew he could block? (Hint: everyone)
- Jamie Collins: Ho hum. FG block, blew up some plays, has been amazing.

With a victory next weekend at MetLife Stadium and a bit of help (Buffalo beating Denver, Dallas beating Indianapolis), the Patriots can secure home field advantage through the conference playoffs.
Honestly...I don't care at all about this. It's never going to be as loud as a dome or Seattle / KC. They have like a .900 WP at home or whatever it is so the crowd is fine.pedroia'sboys said:Down the crowd
Was at the game yesterday, crowd noise was brutal. My friend was at his first game and goes this is it, I thought I wouldn't be able to hear myself. I was in the 300's row 3, if your going to sit on your ass and not say a word stay home and watch it on HD. I know the stadium the way it was built doesn't help but common show something.
Scoreboard operator, play music/players talking on the jumbotron on first and second down. Clearly these people who don't appreciate shit/don't know what they have, need something to wake them up during their nap. Can you save the music/players for third down please.

To add to this, I had been looking for and couldn't find the following ridiculous Revis stat according to the Herald:dynomite said:2. The Secondary, esp. McCourt and Revis (5 targets, 3 catches, 23 yards, Harmon INT):
http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/patriots_nfl/the_blitz/2014/12/patriots_hang_a_championship_flag_on_revis_islandThis season, quarterbacks are 31 of 72 (43.1 percent) for 455 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions (two for Revis) when targeting the cornerback. Thats a 50.4 passer rating.

I appreciate every min we have with this team. We are so lucky to have this, we will never see anything close to this again in our life times.

I think Cabin Mirror possibly means that the Baseball Karma Brokers then caused the Red Sox to plunge to the cellar in the AL East because they were too prideful in their T-shirt caption choices.

I think this is a problem with the 300s level, maybe.j44thor said:
What section where you in? I was in 216 (corner mezz on Pats side) and thought the crowd was fantastic. We were up and loud on every third down till well late in the 4th Q. I know the 100 sections near us were also up at that time, couldn't see the 300s so can't comment there.
I figured he meant that too but I still consider the world series win as trumping the last place finish, if you can trump in advance.Trlicek's Whip said:

I wasn't there yesterday but we have a pair in the front half of 216 and the section is ok. Not a ton of standing but not awful. Y brother has seats in 311 and its a morgue up there. If you do a fan reaction cam you'd think they were at a funeral. Most of them aren't even watching the game. It's weird in the sense the cheap seats are usually filled with the quote real fans.j44thor said:

Agreed. I was in the same general area. Thought the crowd was great. Not quite the level of the Broncos game earlier in the year, but very good for a 1PM day game against Miami. The TV just does not pickup the crowd well.j44thor said:
