And finally, a game ball to...Alfonzo Dennard for doing a really solid, if unspectacular job in the seconda -- oh wait, that's right, he was a healthy scratch. Again. Inexplicable - not that he's regressed, most patriots CB seem to do that lately. But that he is so so bad in practice that BB doesn't see fit to play him over Captain Bull'seye, Logan Ryan. I'm actually baffled by this. There is NO WAY he is so bad that he's not playing ahead of Ryan and Butler. He was too good too recently. I just don't get it.

He's a U of Nebraska guy, right? Like Dominic Raiola, Christian Peter, and Lawrence Phillips?

All joking aside, my guess is Dennard's off-field issues, while somewhat resolved, might contribute to the coaching staff's willingness to invest their time and opportunity in him.

Ryan can play in the slot, Dennard can't. Ryan wasn't great today but Dennard struggled so much in the last game against the Jets as a slot corner that he's been on the bench since. Dennard also doesn't play special teams (just one snap in his career), so it's tough for him to be active behind Revis and Browner.

Totally amazing that they make it to the super bowl every year though, no?
I mean, winning the super bowl every year is some pretty high expectations. Jets fans should be thrilled just to be there every year...

Tremendous.

Gotta give some love to Amendola, shades of Edelman in both the return game and as possession receiver.  Still gonna be cut at the end of the season but for one week at least helped avoid an embarrassing loss to the GD Jets.

Collins is just all over the place out there.  Great to see that potential being realized.

Honorable mention to the D as a whole for forcing FG's instead of TD's.

Relieved to see Brady shake off the early pressure and breakdowns and be able to move the chains when they absolutely needed too.

Goat for Chung, seemed like he regressed to the bad old days in this one.

I'm giving a game ball to Brady's ribs for staying in one unbroken piece. As far as we know.

Brady has been taking a beating out there and was slammed into the ground repeatedly. I am glad he did the smart thing by sliding in the 4th quarter, declining the chance to get in the end zone and also to be blown up by a 250lb linebacker coming in at top speed.

This team is playing with fire by letting Brady get hit this much.

I like the adjustment at half time with the offensive line. Definitely better pass protection in the second half with Fleming at guard. Amendola was good, the backs ran hard and LaFell continued to be great. The defense is just so good, thay basically shut down teams in the second half. Jamie Collins makes plays every week. I was surprised that they didn't do better against the Jets offensive line after Mangold went down.

Offensively, it felt like they really missed Edelman.

It's worth noting that 25 of Wright's 32 snaps were in the second half. Probably not a coincidence.
