Complete guts.

My game ball goes to Ghost for making that unbelievable kick.
Second goes to Butler for knocking that sure TD out of the hands of OBJ.

Wow.

Between here and everywhere.
I still can't breathe.

Is it over?

GB:

Tom
Ghost
Danny for that sick inside curl to get enough yards
Malcolm for keeping OBJ relatively in check.

Ghost
Amendola for that punt return to get us back in the game as well as on the final drive
Butler for mostly containing OBJ

Oh my god, heart attack game. Ghost, Butler, Brady despite a couple of bad plays. I'm afraid of the news we'll hear about Edelman, but this was a gutsy win.

Butler had OBJ single-cover with no McCourty help a lot of the game, I think.

Holy shit what a find.

And please, no Melvin.

BB often says regardless of what the score says, he looks for how a team finishes a game.

This team is a lot of guts and determination. What a win.

Is Ghost the greatest kicker ever?

Butler, Amendola, Gronk, Nink for that huge sack that pushed the Giants out of FG range right before the Gronk TD. Oh, and Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr.

Not a game ball: The refs, they sucked on almost every play today. Can't help but think this was an evil plan by Goodell to try and hurt Pats fans.

up:
Ghost
Butler
Danny A

steady as ever: Brady...and was it my eyes or was Mayo pretty solid?

down:
Melvin
Bolden
Scott Chandler (man has he been a disappointment -- though it was a damn fine TD celebration)

Hard to believe they let Adam walk to a conference rival almost a decade ago, only to replace him with the greatest kicker in franchise history.

Ghost - his greatness is that I never had a doubt that he was hitting that FG

Butler - great play on ODB, his one bad play he got taken out by McCourty

Amendola - huge all game, then converts 4th and 10 and gets Ghost into range

Defense not named Coleman and Melvin - gave up 9 points in the second half despite a number of questionable calls against and made huge plays when they had to.

yeah, anyone who thinks that was a phantom hold should take a place in the line of shame after those who thought it was bad to have the 2:01 TD overturned.

btw, NBC just showed a replay of the 2nd down 2:01 play and Eli had Beckham wide open.

Amendola for the return and the big catches on the last drive. Butler for holding OBJ in check; and Ghost for the clutch kick.

Go f*ck yourself
For the lofty standard he's set, I'd say this wa the first bad game by Brady this season. Defense came up huge in the 2nd half, Brady was nails when it mattered most, and Ghost.

Suck it, Mazz.

Gostkowski>>>>>Crosby

Edit: Butler looked great today. Fired up, tight coverage, multiple great plays against a top five receiver.

I have the same top 4 as you, but do you really think Chandler has been a disappointment? He's been exactly what we should have expected, I think. Capable of making some good plays, but also drops a few more than you would like. I think he's a fine complementary piece.

I remember watching a best of the draft skills competition years ago and DeAngelo Williams was super pumped for his teammate to come out and kick. Ghost was nails in that competition and it took me a minute to realize it was the same guy they drafted that year.

Game Ball to Ghost. Bc hell yes.

On the bus back from MetLife...which is a really good metaphor for that game.

I need to go back and read the game thread, but if TV didn't provide a great shot of Eric Martin's AWESOME wipeout block on Amendola's punt return, go find it. Reminiscent of that Bolden block last year that just about killed a man.

Game Balls: Amendola, Gostkowsi. Also I haven't seen LaFell mentioned here, but he looked good to me.

Take a lap: I know it's heresy, but aside from the first and last drives of the game I thought TB12 looked kind of flat. Wasn't as clairvoyant as usual sensing pressure, was low to a few wide open receivers (Gronk bailed him out twice), and the goal line pick was not very Bradyish.

Almost as unheard of, McCourty took a terrible angle on the ODB touchdown and seemed to be a step late a couple other times.

And Scott Chandler. Good God...

I just got off the phone with my buddy and he says if they lose it would have been on Brady. I think Brady played great. Yes, he had turnovers, but that offensive line they put out there today might be the worst in the NFL. Did anyone doubt they'd win when they got the ball back with 147 left?
