I love that Brick is able to just stand there and smile and let Jack take it home.  They really are the perfect pair for this team.

I honestly just feel bad for them, that's as painful a loss as you will see, and we've all been there before with one of our teams. If it was Habs fan though, I would just love it

I'm 54.  I never had a mullet.  Never.  And I certainly never wore my dungarees - I mean jeans - that high up.  Good Lord, what a dork.

I get more emotional in the first periods of regular season games than were those 10 people combined in that video.

If they didn't have the shot at the end with everyone leaving, I'd have thought #17 on the right was dead from shock.  Dude doesn't move a fucking inch.

I think Ziggy Chipdust doesn't actually give a shit.  Notice that he never got up to celebrate when the Leafs scored.  He's just there for the free snacks.

From the Halifax-Portland matchup in the Memorial Cup...

In the actual game, MacKinnon had 3 goals (PP, EV, SH) separated by fewer than 14 minutes of game time. He also had an assist and a +4 rating. That, of course, was against a Winterhawks defensive corps featuring Seth Jones (needs no explanation), Derrick Pouliot (2012 8th overall), Tyler Wotherspoon (2011 2nd rounder, Team Canada WJC), and Troy Rutkowski (Overager, 2010 5th rounder, later signed with Ottawa).

I hope this finally shuts up the people beating the Drouin drum (though they've been quieter lately) to have him go ahead of his far superior teammate in MacKinnon. I wonder if there's any way MacKinnon can play himself back into the #1 overall pick in the Memorial Cup. It seems doubtful (especially with Colorado in possession of #1), but if there's a way to do it, tonight was a pretty good start. Three goals and one assist against a team that allowed just 2.35 goals per regular season game and 1.71 goals per playoff game isn't shabby.
