It’s not that anyone is right or wrong I just don’t get it. Maybe it’s an age thing, I have no clue how old all of you are, I might have felt differently when I was younger. Tom Brady walks on water as far as I’m concerned, and owes me nothing. I can see not caring one way or another, but I don’t get actively rooting against him.
Yeah but Brady looked like 2019 Brady even with all the weapons so maybe they lose to Miami as he did at the end of the season (facepalm)
I think the Pats with Cam will be better than they would have been with TB. That said, I love TB and Gronk and will enjoy having a second team to root for. I watched the entire TB-Saints game and didn't feel even a smidgeon of stress. If that was the Pats shitting the bed in New Orleans, I'd have been both furious and despondent.
Yeah, it really is the ex-girlfriend amicable breakup situation. I wanted to be magnamimous and wish her well and let everyone know I just want her to be happy.
But, then as soon as I see her with a new dude, I’m kind of okay with bad things happening.
This Brady/Arians relationship isn’t going to last long if Arians is going to publicly throw Brady under the bus after every game.

I’m with you. I am 100% rooting for Brady and Gronk. I love those guys. And always will. It makes me sad watching Brady have a bad game.

I'm 44, and I attended every single home game, except 1, from 1996-2014, including the playoffs. Tom Brady could literally shit on my front steps every day for the next 20 years, and I would leave the light on for him, and a box of wet wipes (because toilet paper is for heathens, and Tom Brady definitely knows this). Gronk would only be allowed to pee.

If the OL can protect him, they’ll be fine. But it looks like a potential fatal flaw. Seeing Gronk out there bummed me out more. He’s running in quicksand and I really don’t want to see him get re-injured.
Those Arians comments aren't as bad as they are made out to be (and we need more context) but his style has to be jarring for Brady. Perhaps I missed it but I cannot recall BB saying anything like that since arriving in NE.

If Brady falls off the cliff this season in TB, something that might have happened in NE, those same people who want to argue that Brady is not the GOAT will use this season as evidence that he was a system QB all along.
In NE or retired, he would be old. To Brady haters if he is bad this year it will because he was always over rated.

It's way too early to be making predictions after the 1st game of the season. Pats would have a lot less championships if the way they looked week 1 set in stone their season.

How exactly would a WR "give his QB a clue"? The whole point of the offensive system is both QB and WR reading the defense the same way. You're acting like saying a QB made the wrong read means that QB sucks.
And Arians has been an NFL coach for close to a decade--in fact he's 85th all time in wins and something like 45th in winning percentage. Despite that I think he's a bit overrated, but when exactly would he get the benefit of the doubt on how a play his offense is running is supposed to be run?
The Brady/Evans connection will be closely watched next week. Was Evans simply blanketed all the time? Or did Brady miss him a few times?

I think Evans is still fighting a hamstring injury too. He was doubtful to play on Saturday morning, then upgraded to questionable on Saturday, and then played Sunday. I don't think he was 100%.

As a couple of others have described, I really didn't know what I'd think until the games started. As I was watching I came around to hoping the Bucs go 0-16 and Brady be quite ordinary. I certainly dont want him to get hurt or look pitiful (but losing his hair is acceptable). And while I'm not looking forward to the "was it really TB or BB?" nonsense, that was inevtiable.
