Hard to compare audio from one broadcast/production to another, but Central American crowds always seem loud as hell.

I was nervous about the lack of VAR, but I’m not even completely sure the chalk lines on the field are straight.

Tyler Adams’ movement in defensive situations is incredible. Elite awareness, anticipation, and agility.

I dunno if it’s the camera or my TV or what but I am not getting enough contrast right now. Can barely see the ball, especially on the far side.

Gonna be some trial and error to find the formation and personnel combo that unlocks this team’s chemistry. I guess it’s early, but the current setup is definitely not it. I’d like to see Reyna more central and involved. KDLF looks pretty good on the wing.

I feel very strongly Gio will be my least favorite of our top guys of this generation. Big ole whiner.

An essential role for the elite teams to have, for sure, just not my cup of tea.

I’m less in love with Dest on the left the more we see it.

I’d prefer him in his best position and a natural left back on the left.

The 718
Give the home side credit, they’re going toe to toe with us

CONCACAF style, to be sure

We really need him to be clicking offensively because his defensive contributions are always going to be really weak.

I feel vindicated when it comes to Reyna and Aaronson. Maybe Gregg will switch them at halftime?

I've enjoyed Konrad. He looks physically strong and has flashed his superior skillset in the first half.

Mexico 0 - 0 to a short handed Jamaica at home, as a good reality check reminder that being favorites for qualifying still doesn’t make it easy every half of every game.

Josh Sargent, I don’t see it.
He's got some elite handles in tight spaces from the looks of it--first time I've seen much of him. But that skill always gets patience. Just hasn't finished a move yet.

Agree. Didn't see much of first half, but he's clearly not at his best on the left. Didn't Yedlin play on the right or am I grossly misremembering?

Edit: Sidedness confusion

2 goals combined in the 4 qualifying games so far, and they were both from the spot in the Canada-Honduras game.

Dest is on the left, Yedlin on the right.

I’d prefer Dest on the right, Robinson on the left probably.

It'd be nice if Dest would occasionally put in a cross with either foot instead of failing to take on two defenders every time
