I think Musah is a fantastic player but playing as a right footer on the left has had him recycling everything centrally and left the left side barren.

Bringing only Robinson for LB and him playing below his standards is not ideal.

I feel like when Berhalter fucks around with roster balance he inevitably finds out pretty quickly.

Here
That ghost/intentional fake header to set that all up was incredible. That was intentional to get position on the defender.

Robinson is one of those chaos players. Nobody really knows what he’s up to but he puts a lot of pressure on the defense and occasionally does good things by volume.

How small is their keeper? He looks like a child in goal

Ferreira has taken criticism for his misses, but I don't think he has been bad tonight. Sometimes finishing doesn't go a player's way.

Great save(s) by the SLV keeper

CP looks not great.

Dest is crushing it

edit - so is Weah.
It’s fun watching a guy like Dest realizing in real time the USMNT have maybe never had a player like him?

CP is compounding poor play by refusing to make simple passes/decisions.

Canada up 1-0 thanks to an own goal forced by the great Tajon Buchanan.

We've got to find a way to get Pulisic back on track with the USMNT. Lately he's been a far cry from the kid who carried the team during the last WCQ cycle.

He’s not on form for Chelsea either. Like my complaint earlier with Turner he needs to play regularly and Chelsea ended up being a poor move. He’s swapping positions and rotating constantly plus injured all the time — I don’t see how the usmnt can fix this

Absolutely. It is crazy the stat posted upthread about CP - Dest - Adams - McKennie having never played a meaningful minute together until tonite.
Dest is such a unique, and not typically American, talent. He pulled a ball move earlier that blew my mind, esp coming from a back.

Thought this was an interesting stat about Pulisic. Also, Doyle has pointed out a few different times how much Pulisic struggles when he plays on the left rather than the right.

Is he just off footed and uncomfortable?
as teddygb points out there are club issues also
But Gregg seems he needs to find a way to help the best player (ok top 4 to not quibble) optimize how he can succeed.

Dest plays with a fluidity and flair that is distinctly un-American. He’s a really exciting player to watch, especially when he’s the best player on the pitch for either side.
