I think Zimmerman is also a poor partner for John Brooks, but obviously with Brooks' back problems the situation has changed.
Kickoff is 7:45Is tonight a legit 7:30 start? Or is it ESPN’s usual bs with a half hour pregame? I would like to catch the first half before moving this game to the iPad
I'm fine with this. Everyone is in a normal position where they can succeed, the midfield has a lot of steel, and the partnerships make sense.
Zimmerman over Richards is completely defensible to me, and I'm one of those internet people who would prefer Richards. It makes sense if you think it's important to just have your best set piece monsters in for this one, or if you just want the certainty you have with a guy whose had more caps and reps with this team.I'm fine with this. I'm really looking forward to seeing what Musah can bring, and particularly if he can progress the ball by eliminating guys on the dribble. I'm not sure he's really 90 minutes fit, so he might get a relatively early hook no matter what.
Arriola over Weah and Zimmerman over Richards will be the controversial choices. You can argue that in a heavily rotated window, weighting the first game toward MLS guys with less jet lag might make sense. I do like Zimmerman as an aerial threat at least, and Robinson complements him well.
I’m not trying to be annoying — what call did you want to see there? It looked right to me.This ref is awful.
Red card? He didn't touch the ball and wiped out Aaronson.I’m not trying to be annoying — what call did you want to see there? It looked right to me.
Reon Radix for Michael Oliver? What subs are we looking for to try and break this down?
Well said, the aggressiveness is refreshing.I was thinking at halftime that they seemed to be playing down to the pace of Jamaica’s defense. I like that they’re moving quicker and taking space instead of just sitting back and trying to find the perfect ball. Keep attacking.
