Correction - Georgia, which looks fantastic right now, is destroying Clemson as a team. Dabo is going to have some serious thinking to do this week.

Both seem to be correct. UGA defense seems to have clamped down after some early issues. We will see how the SEC plays out, but hopefully UGA  avoids last years rash of injuries.

Yea I know I'm correct. What his post had to do with mine is unknown. Maybe he can't start a post without copy and paste, I don't know, but the points aren't mutually exclusive.

Wow, north texas qbs are 1-8 for 4 yards with three interceptions. This is how Strong wanted to start the season.

Texas up 21-0 on North Texas at the half. UNT seems to have nothing on offense, so it's hard to judge whether or not holding them to 31 total yards is meaningful. Three turnovers is nice.

Offense seems so-so. Decent running, Ash working out the spiderwebs in the passing game. About what I expected.

Wiscy kicker has a beer gut, but he's Brazilian, so he can kick a ball. 51YD. Up 10-0 on LSU, who looks very slow, quite surprisingly slow.

edit: and next play, Cam shows that he's reading this thread, as Dural gets by the corner for an 80 yard catch and run TD immediately after kickoff.

Wisconsin is dominating LSU. If they avoid stupidity they'll win walking away.

Jameis Winston release is not NFL ready. He is closer to Tebow than he is to manning. Takes forever. Can see influence pitching has had

Sean McDonough does such a great job announcing college football (or any sport). Massive gap between him and whoever can be considered next best

LSU's defense seems to have gotten better footing. LSU turns out better defensive backs than any other program imo.

Big turnaround in that game.  Pretty blatant PI ignored in the endzone to kill the previous OK St drive,  then the FSU drive is kept alive on a defensive holding downfield

Yes but too bad he is stuck with Spielman.  Wish he had someone better as his jock/color man.

Les brings in Brandon Harris for this series, they run a crappy reverse, a blown option play, and a brutal sack. Yup, this is an LSU offense.

Winston may not be throwing it that well tonight, but that was a Heisman worthy run for a TD.
I agree I said as I saw it that the run was his "Heisman Moment".  Funny because he's been pretty mediocre otherwise tonight.

What is interesting to me watching LSU/Wisconsin is Wisconsin's speed.  The knock on B1G teams is the lack of athleticism. Not seeing that tonight.

This is an extremely young LSU team playing it's first big game. Not doubting that Wisconsin is fast, but a lot of these kids on LSU are still learning the defense.

Ridiculos throw by Jennings gets bailed out by an even dumber PI play by the Wisconsin DB. Kyle Arrington-esque.

It's a lot of fun to see an SEC school get eaten alive on the LOS.

The LSU name got this team that 13th ranking, they are not even close to being a top 15 team right now.

If a trick play happens when everyone knows a trick play is going to happen, is it really a trick play?

Not saying it does, but all I heard going into the season was that this kid was the next Adrian Peterson, and during this game it appears that Les has him on a rush count or something like he is Stephen Strasburg.

Shouldn't that also be a 10 second run-off?  Eh, whatever.  Game over either way,

late to the party here, but backup qb Johns said in the post game presser that he misread the call on 3rd.  Coming from a big UVA fan I seriously figured it was OC Fairchilds playcall.

Also, to the other sole UVA fan in here Lambert had a shoulder injury and rumor is they were monitoring his throws and limiting the deep pass due to the injury.  Which explains the quick change at the qb position.  Now we'll see if they stick with Johns.

Wisconin has relied on the big play and turnovers to score their points so far, interesting to see if they can string together a long, time eating drive.

Melvin Gordon only has two touches this half? WTF??

Tough to see Wisconsin being a serious Big 10 contender with McEvoy as their QB.

Tolzein wasn't bad IIRC, and they did have Russell Wilson for a season, who was fantastic.

And they were awesome with Wilson. It's just often been a hole in their roster

Still some football left on the evening/morning. Washington only up 1 on Hawaii 17-16 with about 5 minutes left.

Yeah, don't believe all of the media narratives.

He is terrible.

I am so bummed that Wisconsin blew that game. The Big Ten really needed that. Just argh.

I don't really understand why people are obsessed with their conferences and how they perform against other conferences. If you are a Michigan fan, than fine, but who cares about how well the other teams are performing in non-conference play? Whoever wins the Big 10 is going to get into the playoff, I think that is obvious. I couldn't care less if SEC teams performed poorly. Maybe it is just an inferiority complex.

How is that obvious? I assume whoever wins the SEC will obviously get in? And the PAC12? So who would obviously be SOL if they won out, FSU, or Oklahoma?

You only have to go back one year to when Wisconsin won the Big Ten with four conference losses to know that's clearly not the case. Kliq does make a good point, however, conference pride is a curious part of college sports fandom, which doesn't seem to occur much outside of the SEC and the old WCHA. It's especially silly in the modern era of college athletics where conference memberships are extremely fluid.

Tom Gilmore of Holy Cross may very well be the first head coach fired this season, and if I was the AD the axe would have fallen moments after time expired. The Crusaders pulled the epic Joe Pisarcik choke job out of their hat as they turned a certain 13-7 win into a 14-13 loss to Albany -- and they threw in a paralysis scare with their running back for good measure.

Good job, good effort!

With roughly a minute left in the game, Holy Cross led Albany 13-7. The Crusaders had possession in field goal range, and the clock was running, so all they had to do was take a knee. The offense inexplicably chose to have running back Gabe Guild run up the middle on third down, and the worst-case scenario happened. Guild took a hard hit, his helmet popped off, and he fumbled the ball. Great Danes safety Neil Morrison scooped it up and ran 79 yards for a touchdown to tie the game.

Holy Cross was already stunned by the score, but the worst part was that Guild didn't get up. He was taken off the field on a stretcher, but fortunately had feeling in his extremities, according to head coach Tom Gilmore.

After medics attended to Guild, Albany attempted the extra point for the lead. Kicker Patrick Toole nailed it, and the Great Danes earned their first win under new head coach Greg Gattuso.
