What percentage of MLB announcers will call a deep fly ball that lands on the warning track and then bounces into the stands an "automatic double" instead of a "ground rule double"?BoredViewer said:What percent of NFL announcers do you think actually understand the rules around stopping the clock by running out of bounds?
I'd guess around 25%.

Injury inside 2 minutes is a charged timeout.Dollar said:They should run the clock out in St Louis. Stupid to stop the clock at 1 second for a Rams injury when Seattle has no timeouts.
No, it's just something that drives me nuts. There's nothing special about Fenway or Wrigley or yankee stadium where a fly ball that bounces on the warning track and then into the stands is a double in those parks but not others. It's not a "ground rule" if it's the same rule everywhere. But announcers always call it that way.BoredViewer said:
Is that the same thing? Not understanding how the clock works would seem crucial for an NFL announcer... especially considering it happens every single game.
