Maryland just had a pick 6 called back because a roughing the passer penalty.
That TD would've put them up 14-3 and in solid control of the game.

Temple is a decent team. Can't really gve them that many free shots.Infield Infidel said:Another ECU fumble. It's pretty wet in Philly but the Owls are putting hats on the ball

He's been doing it all year from what I've seen. Not sure if he has the speed to be a major threat in the pros, but he has some serious power game.

There will be many touchdowns this game.
You're probably right. But I'm not surprised. I mean, the Lions are exactly where everyone a year+ ago said they would be. Why is it so surprising now that the expectations are being fulfilled?canderson said:PSU turns it over on downs, Maryland wins.
2nd win ever for Maryland vs PSU. The Lions are in free fall mode. 4 losses in a row now.
Infield Infidel said:I thought the CFP rankings were pretty solid, except for Georgia, they hadn't played a very strong schedule.
Whoever wins the SEC East would probably be 6th or 7th in the West.
Not so fast ...Clears Cleaver said:so the big12 is dead with this TCU loss, right? no way they can choose Baylor or KState amongst the the 1-loss teams at this point
of course, TCU could still win this game. but they seem overwhelmed. And how does GA get its ass kicked by FL?
The only problem is if there's an upset in the title game. It happens sometimes.Clears Cleaver said:
is that a big problem for the SEC? the east is terrible, so the conf title winner and the #2 team from the west make the playoff. the conference championship game is a joke, though

Also, I think K-State gets in with one loss, since the loss is to a very good Auburn team. They'd be unbeaten in the conference.

Right, and even if there isn't an upset, the attrition from just having to play the game against another physical (if overmatched overall) SEC East team could be a significant hit to the SEC West winner's chances to get through 2 more games to win it all. This is obviously partly me being a rationalizing Auburn fan, but my best case scenario is Miss St. running the table, and Auburn winning out from here as well. Let Miss St. take the pounding in the SEC Title Game while Auburn stands as the top 1-loss team.
The thing K-State has going for them is that it's not possible for enough SEC West teams to only have 1-loss to block them. They just need to beat out the non-FSU non-SEC West top team, which is doable if Auburn is the top 1-loss SEC West team.
