What happened there? Browns burn a TO and then get a penalty, but they seem no closer to figuring out what they are supposed to do.That was one of the most bizarre sequences I have ever seen.
- 4th and 2, Ravens converted a fake punt, but the play didn't count because the ball wasn't considered setWhat happened there?
They are misunderstood geniusesBrowns are an extremely disciplined team.
Ngata does not live there anymore.3rd and inches. No way they get the first
EDIT: I was wrong
Happy feet, rolls right (sometimes left), throws away.Baker sucks. He always looks completely lost when his first read isn't open.
He is truly bad this season. The injuries aren't helping but he's just a mess.Baker sucks. He always looks completely lost when his first read isn't open.
Every play its like "Pump fake, pull it down, panic scramble."
The Browns are really in a pickle. I would not want to give him a big contract and it seems highly likely that they're going to do exactly that.Happy feet, rolls right (sometimes left), throws away.
He doesn’t climb the pocket well at all.
They can tag him for one more year. I would be surprised if they did anything other than that. The Browns are really in a pickle. I would not want to give him a big contract and it seems highly likely that they're going to do exactly that.
They have him on the fifth year tender (about 18M) next year. They can tag him for a salary that is likely in the 30s the following year. Once you get to ‘24 the tag gets prohibitive, so theoretically they have 1-2 years to make a decision. They can tag him for one more year. I would be surprised if they did anything other than that.
They NEVER use the 2 HB stuff. Ever.CLE has arguably the best run game in football, yet week after week they go away from the run on early downs to throw to their garbage WR corps with their garbage QB. Hunt or Chubb should touch the ball on no less than 60% of their plays. Run some 2 HB stuff... they and the line are the talent on the offense, use them.
Baker had a ton of leverage after last season. If he wanted to force the Browns hand and redo his deal he probably could have. Yeah, even with only the FG here, I can't tell you the final score of this one any more than I can whistle Zippidee Doo Da out of my urethra, but I can tell you it's a Ravens victory. If the Ravens complete this drive for a TD, I think I will be doing something else than watching for the next 45 minutes or so.
How do you not try him at least once?An option or rollout with Lamar seems like it’ll score a TD 90 percent of the time in this field position

Yes, nothing's changed since the Byner fumble. This just feels like one of those games where the Browns will be stupidly ineffective all game.
Last almost 5.5 games:The Browns suck.
