Listening to Westwood one radio, Boomer Easian hits the nail on the head.

I say it all the time, but this is a situation that's about to scream for allowing the opposing team to score a touchdown. If Miami gets inside the Jets 20, the Jets would be foolish to let Miami milk the clock down to nothing and kick a field goal and win the game. Let them score the touchdown, and at least give yourself a chance, no matter how remote, to tie the game the other way. Of course, the Jets are the Jets, so I think there is virtually no chance they think along these lines.
Since they wasted so much time, Jets would have been better off letting the clock go to the 2 minute warning and possibly have all 3 timeouts and a 1:50 to go.
Edit: Actually, it worked out better for the Jets since the Dolphins completed a pass short on 3rd Down.

Well, the Jets stopped them from getting the first down and forced the field goal. No need to let them score.
The Jets need to line up Harvin at the 15 on the kickoff since the Dolphins are kicking short. It is their best chance to gain a lot of yards.

Good answer by Tannethrill in the interview just now. Dilfer asked him what one thing he needs to improve to be among the Bradys of the NFL, and he says some version of: "Consistency. Those guys are the same QB every single game, and I need to be that way."

Geno is going to play himself out of the league within two years and be dead broke within three. At least Sanchez made lots of money and was mediocre enough to become a long term backup.
