I have a visceral reaction every time I see Hill make a catch. I don't think I've ever disliked an active player more, in any sport.
I’m with you. I keep waiting for him to get laid out and he’s so short and athletic that it never happens.

I don't usually root for injuries but in his case I make an exception. I'm absolutely hoping one day to see him make one of those signature cuts and just have his ACL or Achilles pop.
A non-contact injury wouldn’t even do it for me. I want to see a Ronnie Lott or Chuck Cecil destruction of Hill over the middle, preferably as he dances around after catching the ball over the middle and then just gets pummeled by some safety.

Reid rolls the dice and wins. BB punts in that scenario.

Was there an eligible receiver there? He was out of the pocket but the pass definitely didn’t get back to the LOS.
There was one close, plus he wasn’t really avoiding a sack. It was a bad play by Bridgewater because he was out of the pocket and could have just chucked it out of bounds. But that doesn’t usually get called.

Ah, got it.

Guessing they stay with incomplete pass on the review.

I think a good team should expect to execute better over a series of plays versus a single play, considering how much variance there is in a single play. I think it makes a lot more sense for bad teams to go for 2 in that situation.
That's exactly how i see it. The one confounding factor here is that Baltimore apparently was out of CBs....otherwise, and perhaps still, i'd think as the clearly better team they should like OT better than a coin-flip chance.

So often, when the camera zooms in on a huddle, it goes right to the QB calling the play(s), which instinctively bothers me every time it happens. Even with the broadcast delay, couldn't a team have a lip reader watching the game for those occasional moments, texting it to the sidelines, and getting it relayed to the green dot helmet(s) on defense? Seems like there'd be just about enough time to do that between huddle and snap. It doesn't happen too many times during a game, but even once might be enough to make a difference.
Am I wrong about the timing? Are the sidelines cut off from outside communication? etc.

And if Mahomes did that exact play, I doubt there would be a flag.

That’s an ok challenge IMO, especially since the odds of needing two more of them are low, but they have really been aggressive on calling those plays incomplete in recent years. I’m convinced they review those full speed to see if it ‘seems’ bang bang.

Is that something defenses do when they have the other team pinned? Put in their backup defensive linemen? Never heard of that.

The decision to go for 2 makes a lot more sense considering the injuries situation, which I wasn't aware of.
