Green on green OK? Oregon, Marshall, ND, etc..?Domer said:No, it's not. It looks like shit on television and the MWC should have never reversed their ban on it.
Playing to the level of your competition and winning every game isn't sexy, but it sure as hell makes you feel confident in a close game.BigMike said:Got to give FSU credit. This is the best game they've played all season

Maybe I'm biased because I'm an FSU alum but you really want a team that hasn't lost (if they hold on) in 2 years out because of style points?RedOctober3829 said:The committee's decision should be this: do you think OSU can beat FSU on a neutral field? If so, move them ahead and forget the records.
It's not gonna happen. And TCU being above them is a pretty solid indicator that they aren't going anywhere, either.luckiestman said:Maybe I'm biased because I'm an FSU alum but you really want a team that hasn't lost (if they hold on) in 2 years out because of style points?
If they aren't one of the 4 best teams, then yes. I don't care about last year.luckiestman said:Maybe I'm biased because I'm an FSU alum but you really want a team that hasn't lost (if they hold on) in 2 years out because of style points?
There is no way an undefeated team from a Power 5 conference is missing the playoff. None.RedOctober3829 said:If they aren't one of the 4 best teams, then yes. I don't care about last year.

Second game of the year after losing their Heisman candidate QB?jsinger121 said:OSU lost to a 6-6 Virginia Tech team at home. They have no business being in the playoff.
So what. Ohio State has way more talent than VT. TCU's only loss is on the road to Baylor likely to be the co-champion. That is more impressive than losing at home to a terrible Tech team.Bob Montgomery's Helmet Hat said:Second game of the year after losing their Heisman candidate QB?
Maybe I'm off base, but jumping a slot while non of the top four lose? I'm admittedly a very casual fan.Bob Montgomery's Helmet Hat said:Wait....what?

The ACC and B1G are weaker than the other power-five conferences -- you basically have to run the table to finish in the top four coming from one of those conferences. I think that's what the committee has been communicating by keeping FSU lower than they've been in the traditional polls.jsinger121 said:OSU lost to a 6-6 Virginia Tech team at home. Ironically, they probably thought they were doing that when they scheduled Va TechMorgan's Magic Snowplow said:Given that they play in such an awful conference, maybe OSU should schedule somebody good out of conference if they want to be taken seriously as a top team.
Yup, that just makes it worse.BigMike said:

It sucks for them that VT was an awful football team this year, but they lost to that awful football team
I hope not. TCU has done nothing wrong to drop out. They have a better resume than OSU In my mind.mabrowndog said:Prediction: TCU drops out. FSU moves to #3, Ohio State takes #4.
Typical/historical polling conventions don't matter to this committee, as they showed by needlessly and inexplicably bumping TCU to #3 last week. I assume they'd just as soon drop the Frogs out altogether.
I think number 1 is more likely.RedOctober3829 said:So, is this what everyone would agree on the 2 scenarios?

Next year, they return the VT game and play W Michigan, Northern IL, and an awful Hawaii teamjsinger121 said:Tech has been a down program for a few years now. That isn't a top program anymore. Ohio State needs to schedule someone from the SEC and prove they can beat them.

Yeah, the Big 12 is significantly better than the B1G, even if the perception isn't there because this year's elite teams aren't the conference's big names. If anyone's got a gripe with the presumptive top four, it's Baylor, not tOSU.jsinger121 said:I hope not. TCU has done nothing wrong to drop out. They have a better resume than OSU In my mind.
