I just always root for the team with the worst record. Or earlier in the season, just root for anyone playing an AFC East team.So as a Pats fan, am I rooting for the Raiders here? Or does it not really matter?
They blew when they couldn't get the first downBrowns getting literally not a single piece of pressure.
There was so much open space in front of Mullens on the rollout, he had plenty of time if they didI maintain they should have run a play action on 3rd down.
Yup. The punt was a killer. And Garrett is on one leg. They blew when they couldn't get the first down
Then a weak punt and no pressure. Even the holding the call could save the Browns from themselves
They had to make them start inside the 20 thereYup. The punt was a killer.
It feels like a bootleg would be a good call there. It works against the defense flowing hard to the ball, and gives the QB a fairly easy read (and options to run the ball / eat it if the defense has the play covered).I maintain they should have run a play action on 3rd down.
They fall to 12th in playoff seedingTough schedule for Browns rest of the way so this L probably just accelerated the inevitable.
I mean, it's insane they lost that game. They got the 14-play drive, the TD on a fourth down, and the big interception. The way they were running it in the second half, 10 yards should have been a given. The Browns ran like 20 seconds by running it on 3rd down. It was absolutely the wrong call by any measure. Maybe if the 2 minute warning had already hit and they could bleed the clock to ~1:15 when punting, and then tack on another 8-10 seconds for the punt play. But 2 minutes needing only a field goal is forever in today’s NFL.
Can’t think of one. If it’s happened it is before my living memory.Has an NFL head coach ever been ejected from a game?
Depends. How much sause is on it and how fresh out of the oven it is.Who eats deep dish with their hands? Is that a thing?
