Legit question… how? There’s no pats within 5 yards of where Zappa threw it and he wasn’t under pressure
I think he was supposed to break off the route. Zappe gave him a look and hand gesture afterward, Reaghor is awful, and that’s the only explanation i have for why Zappe would throw it there.

There was a hot route slant because the safety blitzed. The WR did not adjust to the new route and ran his original route. Zappe did throw it where the WR should have been with a proper read. Ya, I know doesn't mean much.

Other than having an unblocked pass rusher ready to sack him in a half second. That route needed to be cut short, but Zappe should have thrown it away in any case.

Here
Name me one position on offensive where this team is above average? The team building on the offensive side of the ball is beyond pathetic.
When healthy, probably TE, RB, and maybe Tackle? WR, when healthy isn’t so bad, either. Legit QBs could do things with Bourne and Douglas.

If Buffalo punted on first down every possession from here on out, would they still win the game?
Edit: I spoke that play into existence!
