Seeing the Squish the Fish game live will always be in my top 5 greatest sports moments and I've been to Super Bowl wins (and losses) and WS clinching wins.
Beating them in Miami was tremendous considering the futility the Patriots had experienced winning down there, I don't think anyone outside of New England gave them a shot in that game, they didn't just win, they pummeled Miami, that franchise literally has never recovered from that loss.
And their fans; Mother of God, the fights in the stands, profanity and vile comments directed at Patriots fans...........and those were the women.
I was down there with about a dozen of my friends as one of my friends had an Uncle who was a Miami season ticket holder, he got us tickets no problem. After the game, we played it low key, went to a bar to celebrate and again, the plan was to keep it low key as we were in enemy territory.
None of us had any gear on, we stowed our hats away in our back pockets. A waitress brings us a round of drinks, one of my friends says "So what did you think of the game today?"............she comes back with "That game sucked; FUCK the Patriots and their asshole fans from Boston!!"................
Ok then; out came the hats, out came the over the top celebration, a bunch of other Patriots fans there chimed in, we basically took over that bar, it was glorious.
They are, have been and always will be at the top of my most hated fan base list.
Yankee fans are a close second, but they can crow with all the WS titles they've won.
Miami hasn't won a Super Bowl in close to 50 years/been to one in close to 40 years.
Yet their fans talk and yammer and yammer and talk.
Kick their asses tomorrow night.
