I’m going to browse the “Celebrating What Is” thread during halftime.

The dolphins d is average and the pats haven’t been made it into the red zone yet at half. They have no above average players on offense. Stevenson is the closest but not much he can do with this line. I can’t even really blame Mac with the garbage he has around him. Do I think he is good? Not really but can’t put any of this on him.

I was looking into this and I think the way more scary number is that they win about 35% of their games when the opponent scored over 10 and 25% when they score over 14. Since 2021 they have won more games in which they gave up 10 points or fewer than they won against teams that scored more than 10. Nevermind 25 points, any time the opponent shows a semblance of offensive competence they've struggled. Average points allowed in their last 16 wins is 11.
It is almost like they had a rookie QB in one of those years, and a DC and ST Coach coaching the offense in the other. That’s how bad it sounds.

What are you talking about for Juju?
He's a fringe NFL'er at best?
We seem to love going after skill players the year after they are washed up. AKA the Reggie Wayne memorial all stars.
Reggie and the boys used to get cut. Now they're a huge part of the offense. Having a near 50/50 split between Zeke and one of the best, most explosive young RBs in the game is criminal.

To some extent, agree. Parker dropped an easy first down that cost the Pats 4 points. I'm sure I'll be told tomorrow how I'm being too hard on him and how difficult it was to catch that pass, blah, blah,....

Interested to see what segment of the game I will be told was "encouraging" after the game. My prediction: "Once they got down 24-3, they played Miami even."

The Dolphins D looked suspect last week but they were facing Justin Herbert. Big difference. Also, Ramsey is hurt.

He was literally the #1 WR for the team that won the SB last year (a game in which he led the team in targets) and most experts listed him as the best WR available in FA this summer... he's not a fringe NFL player in any aspect.

It’s depressing but this is who we are now.
Duggar has been really quiet.

I think on offense they really need Rham or Mac to make some kind of leap and it just doesnt look like it is happening. I personally ha
The offense isn’t good enough to keep up with this. I think Zolak brought up last week on the radio broadcast that this team is something like 0-12 when the opponent scores 25 or more over the last couple of seasons.
Mac has never won a game when the other team scored 25 or more. You have to go back to Cam to find the last time they did it.

Cost them 4 points? Wouldn't they have had to drive an extra 28 yards or so there?
I was making an unsafe assumption. But they were moving the ball that drive despite a marginal penalty call against them. Parker still should have caught that pass; tired of making excuses for the WR talent.

wiffing on a 25 yo guard in the first round who everyone had in the 3rd round wasn't the answer. Anyone seen 23 yo 2 year starter for Sacramento state at LB in 3rd?

If he's employed in the NFL past week 10, I'll buy you a beer somewhere somehow.

They are moving the ball, but that's kind of the issue with doing it 5 yards at a time. A penalty or a drop kill you.

Honestly Tua made great throws to beat some tough coverage and great schemes/calls

Pats offense was killed by mistakes again and conservative play calling. Also we have zero run game and the line play looks especially poor

Let me tell tou how half #2 goes.

Miami has a 7 minute drive resulting in a FG. 20-3.

The Patriots score a TD on a 4 minute drive, giving us all just enough hope to keep watching 20-10.

Pats get a 3 and out. Then they have a promising drive that stalls out and the kick a FG. 20-13.

The trade field position for a few possessions, with the Dolphins evemtually adding a FG. The Pats score a TD, and another moral victory Dolphins 23 Patriots 20.

Edit: glad I was wrong.

There’s no way the Dolphins only score 6 more points this game.
