lol that dance took 2 super bowls from denver
in 2000 the AFC was very weak had we copyied the jets off in week 17 in 2000 we beat them
and in 2012 the kneel by john fox manning couild had got in FG range to beat them and sit up ne/den in 12
Yeah this. Some might say the AFC is wide open.AFC is gonna be fascinating this year.
Needed KC to burn 2 TO's. I thought they played it very well. The thing is if they tried a bit harder to gain yardage on the first 2 downs they wouldn't had that do or die play.
I get it's hard to beat the Chiefs, but Ravens celebrating like they just won the SB. Somebody want to dump some Gatorade on Harbaugh?
This feels a little like sour grapes. That was a really gutsy call and they executed it really well. The thing is if they tried a bit harder to gain yardage on the first 2 downs they wouldn't had that do or die play.
When will Mahomes pass TB12's ring count!?!?!?!?!?!Chiefs struggled to win week one.. Collinsworth talking about them going 17-0 week 2 before the game...
Faulk had the first down. The camera angles just sucked. Will Harbaugh pull a Belicheck at Colts?
Oh it unquestionably is, I hate the Ravens. This feels a little like sour grapes. That was a really gutsy call and they executed it really well.
i know the only raven i like is billick said denver and balt was the 2 best afc teams one of those TD'S was a flukey shape play denver did not spead them out that how u beat the 00 ravensDenver got killed in that wild card game. Couldn’t believe it after I saw the Jets blow the game they should have won against the Ravens in week 17
I do too. But I like Jackson. And as big of a dick as Harbaugh is, this was pretty cool:Oh it unquestionably is, I hate the Ravens.
i know it was the right call it just shouild been 1 yard deeperFaulk had the first down. The camera angles just sucked.
Sour grapes? I didn't give a hoot who won this game, it just seemed like a weird way to go about it. Acting like you just want to kill the clock on the first 2 downs and then have to crank it up to get the first on 4th down. But sure, it weas good to see a close exciting game with chances taken. No question about that. This feels a little like sour grapes. That was a really gutsy call and they executed it really well.
Somehow I either missed or totally forgot that Welkah was wide open and the umpire obstructed himFaulk had the first down. The camera angles just sucked.
Sure but they could have done that by attempting to gain more yards rather than dance around in the backfield and then practically taking a knee.Needed KC to burn 2 TO's. I thought they played it very well.
It’s crazy how little focus there was/is on this. The stupid toss-up by Mahomes for the INT gets nowhere near its proper level of examination during the broadcast.
The NFL is evil and we are all assholes for enabling it.Rodney relegated to Peacock with the nepotism hire is infuriating.
He was just out there slingin' it, can't blame for that. It’s crazy how little focus there was/is on this.
Couldn't watch tonight. What's the deal?Rodney relegated to Peacock with the nepotism hire is infuriating.
You might say it's glazing.Yeah this. Some might say the AFC is wide open.
It was an obvious correct call....remember the rule isn't that there have to be two guys moving at the snap, just were there ever two people moving at the same time before all 11 become set (or re-set).Watching the recaps of the games this morning, that call against LAC that cost them (the Cook reception) a TD was just a horrific call. Illegal shift, for a team that had only one guy moving.
Just a brutal call. SEC refs find their way to Dallas.
Thoughts on the non-call of a safety with Russell Wilson running into his own end zone?It was an obvious correct call....remember the rule isn't that there have to be two guys moving at the snap, just were there ever two people moving at the same time before all 11 become set (or re-set).
Contact starts in the field of play...even though Wilson's own momentum is taking him backwards that's where forward progress would be established. It's quick whistle on forward progress, but if you call it it has to be in the field of play. If you don't call it then the pass is legally grounded.Thoughts on the non-call of a safety with Russell Wilson running into his own end zone?
Yeah, that makes zero sense to me. Just looked it up and the punt ended up as a touchback anyway. Coach had to be confused about the situation.Peter King, on a moment from the little-watched Texans-Browns game:
I think there is no logical reason to choose to punt instead of accepting a penalty. That surfaced in Houston-Cleveland.
The situation: Houston ball at its 38, third-and-15. Tyrod Taylor passes to Brandin Cooks for 13 years, leaving fourth-and-two. But there’s a flag for offside. Houston can accept it and advance to the 43, leading to third-and-10.
Coach David Culley declined the penalty and chose to punt, saying later it was because he wanted to try to pin the Browns deep in their own territory. That is just not plausible.
On third-and-10, Houston could have run a play and possibly earned a first down. Even if the Texans came up short, the punt would be from near midfield. Anyway, it’s just the wrong logic by Culley.
My BIL is a huge Browns fan and texted me about this right after it happened.Yeah, that makes zero sense to me. Just looked it up and the punt ended up as a touchback anyway. Coach had to be confused about the situation.
I don't get it. It's just so stupid. I'm trying to think of a way to attribute it to anything but incompetence or crotchety-ness on the NFL's part, but I really can't.Can we talk about all the absolutely inane taunting penalties yesterday?
I thought Keenan Allen was going to get another one later on except it seemed he couldn’t find anyone’s face to get into. Can we talk about all the absolutely inane taunting penalties yesterday?
Maybe he thought about going for it and then thought better of it?Yeah, that makes zero sense to me. Just looked it up and the punt ended up as a touchback anyway. Coach had to be confused about the situation.
He either completely messed up or he's such an idiot that he shouldn't be an NFL coach.Maybe he thought about going for it and then thought better of it?
Maybe he watched Tom Brady punt on 3rd down and thought he'd go one step further. He either completely messed up or he's such an idiot that he shouldn't be an NFL coach.
Declining the penalty and then punting should be a fireable offense. Something like that cannot happen. There is no excuse. You're basically saying to your team, "We have no chance to win this game."
It's them wanting to control the actions of (largely) black men.I don't get it. It's just so stupid. I'm trying to think of a way to attribute it to anything but incompetence or crotchety-ness on the NFL's part, but I really can't.
Then Tom Brady couldn't have punted, though.Maybe he watched Tom Brady punt on 3rd down and thought he'd go one step further.

side note, I'll never really understand that call. Just kneel on 3rd down and punt it deep on 4th and you get effectively the same result and kill a lot more clock.
