I was coming to ask the same thing. Dude thinks they’re going to be in victory formation?
Not sure I'd use the timeout there. They would have had to run another play before the 2:00 warning. If you stop them there, run it down to 2 minutes, and save all 3 of your timeouts for after the 2 minute if you stop them on third down or if you don't.
Now you end up with the 1st and 10, with one timeout left at the warning.
Would have had 3rd and 4 at the warning with 3 timeouts left.
Won't matter either way, but that's how I would have played.
Edit: They used the third timeout before the warning. So at best, it'll be third down after the warning and they'll get it back with a little over a minute left, so in the end, I'm wrong

The replay basically showed that every single receiver was getting held or interfered with.. but apparently non of that was worth a call.
I’m ok with the no-call, but we also thought there was a lot of contact even by HM standards. It might have kept Godwin from catching that ball.
That was a surprisingly entertaining game.
I'm sort of ok with it.. but there's also a reason the ball fell to the ground without getting touched.. every DB was basically holding their receiver in place... it was either defensive holding or illegal contact. Shouldn't matter that it's a hail mary.

Watching a Kirk Cousins interview and it’s produced like a Hallmark holiday movie. Forced smiles, forced cringe jokes, cliche after cliche, with sappy music playing over the interview.
It’s football. These are football games. The way the NFL over-produces the coverage around it is so vomit-inducing.

Im a bit of an nfl junky and I never watch this shit. This year I put on ringer wise guys and Lombardi line.
Yeah I usually don’t watch them either, so maybe that’s why it stood out to me so much today. I haven’t watched a pregame show in years, at least that I can remember.
I’ve been kicking around the house with the rain today so I tuned in early and it really stood out to me just how embarrassing and over-polished the production is. Less Hallmark and more breaking down plays and educating viewers about the game, please.

They aren’t produced for hardcore football fans, which is ironic since hardcore football fans are the ones most likely to want to watch a multi-hour pregame show.
It’s still nuts that we have THREE HOUR pregame shows for regular season games.

The networks televising the early games (Fox and CBS) just have a one hour pregame show. The three hour pregame is on NFL Network, so, what else do they have to do on a gameday Sunday?

Yeah, in fairness I totally get the target demo/casual viewer argument. It’d just be nice - if that’s the case - to see them educate casual fans more about the game. Explain different coverages and how different teams play them, offensive playcalling, etc and how it changes week to week and matchup to matchup.
Instead they’re like “Kirk lmao look at these hilarious photos of you in gold chains!” while cheap elevator music plays in the background.
They ruled that a fumble against Stafford. The refs really have no interest in letting the Rams breathe.
