Last night's announcers mentioned that the two refs between them had around 50 years experience on the job and (IIRC) 9 and 7 finals games between them. I thought that was a remarkable nugget of info.

ha. good find.

collectively the wisdom around here usually exceeds the mainstream media by quite a bit
Looking back on that thread, what I said about Jaylen and Tatum has pretty much come true. I did vote for Tatum in the thread, BTW.

Jaylen showed today that he has that alpha-dog mentality of "just give me the ball and let me go score". If he can improve even more on his shot-making and decision-making gets better the sky is the limit for him. I also think both could add a post up game. As for Tatum, as has been said he could put 10-15 lbs on and be more of a physical player.

Giannis, Middleton and Matthews with 2 fouls each in the first quarter. Down by 9 they’ll need to try to be aggressive while avoiding fouls.... that’s tough.

Miami is so much deeper than Milwaukee. They officially scare the shit out of me. What a job by that fucking asshole Riley.

Miami looks like a better team. Much like the Celtics versus Toronto. They have really gelled, Spoelstra is a great coach, Dragic looks fantastic and Butler is a great alpha. They are legit.

I want nothing to do with facing Giannis, who will average 18 free throws a night against us, and Khris (the Celtics Killer) Middleton, so as far as I'm concerned, I want Miami to stomp the shit out of the Bucks.

Does GA not realize that you can foul the body even if your arms are straight up if you jump into the player? (his arms weren't straight up but still..)

Milwaukee is turning it around currently, but man Miami is doing a damn good job at making the Bucks feel uncomfortable on offense.

now Giannis and Middleton have 3 each. Miami will keep attacking them in the 2nd half. Until then, how do these guys stay aggressive and keep driving to the paint if one charge gets them benched again?

No team gets to ECF without looking good. I just want this to be a war. 7 games. Hard. Long.

Dorris keeps talking about 'too much fouling' as they show any number of replays where there's little to no contact by Miami.

That Lopez/Butler dosey doe on the tie up was hilarious. Aggressive play going on but a lot of guys were stifling laughter.

She's a shill for the officials. It's hard to watch sometimes, IMO. She almost never questions a call, and when they show a replay with basically no contact, she always just says "oh that's a foul."

100%. I'm fine facing the deep and well coached Heat, we can throw a bunch of good defenders at Butler and have matched up reasonably well with them this year. I want no part of Giannis and Middleton, the latter of whom turns into Jordan whenever they play the Celtics.

there ya go... 3 min into 3rd. How can he be aggressive (his whole game) and lead a comeback in foul trouble?

Giannis didn't lower his shoulder there?

I don't care if Butler was moving. That's a charge. You can't just act like an NFL running back (but he always gets away with it).

How did Giannis not get called for a fucking loose ball foul when he just trucked that dude? Or the offensive before that on his bucket, when he just went through Robinson?

The funny part is Korver’s semi-incredulous reaction to the regular foul which is an auto-whistle when the shooter lands on your foot in the landing area......can’t wait to see his face when the flagrant is called.

Milwaukee just can't get called for a foul on defense unless they undercut someone.. ok now they called one.

Miami is clearly the better team in this game/series. Whether the refs allow that to play out remains to be seen.

I really like Giannis, but because of the way the NBA officiates for him, it makes me despise his game and him. It's almost unbearable watching him get call after call, when he's basically a bull in a China closet.

Fuuuuck — Andre looks like he may be done for the series. Hope I’m wrong. Heat can win without him, but he’s the ultimate glue-guy/winner, even at 36. +6 in his 11 minutes tonight.
