It's so weird watching a team with Hill, Waddle, and two lightning fast backs refuse to throw past the line of scrimmage. The weather sucks but this is easy for the KC D
They have taken one shot downfield I can remember and it's the TD.

There is no way that KC coughs the ball up. It can't happen actually because it will defy physics.
It has to be much harder to get the burst needed to get open downfield for any receivers. Both teams seem to be struggling with it.

KC knows its coming so they are just running slants and simple man beaters. They need to have someone fake pressure and drop onto the slants.
This is why you need a real QB to contend in this league. Mahomes hasn't been great, but it's cold as shit, he's been blitzed to death and he still makes the plays that are there to be made in a quick and decisive fashion. McDaniel coaches as if he's deathly afraid of asking Tua to make plays. Scheme can only go so far in this league.
