Lewis or White for a 7th? I hope not.It will be interesting to see the terms.
I think one of Lewis, White, or Bolden get traded for a 7th.

I don't think this would have much bearing on Blount. They're still going to want a power guy, I would think.Pretty nice signing. I think this means Blount is gone, but we will see and I dont think its a bad thing.
Thank god it's only his right hand.Yes, but his right hand is on the 60-Day DL
Iosefa is a FA I believe.I don't think this would have much bearing on Blount. They're still going to want a power guy, I would think.
It's 6 a.m. in Texas?It's only 6am there. Give it time.

The #Patriots announced they’ve signed RB Rex Burkhead, which is the #Patriotsest signing of all-time. #grit #woodhead
They all have equal value? It will be interesting to see the terms.

Well, this is the franchise that employed Steve King as a linebackerInsert "we have all the white guys" joke here.
Even if Bolden were not a free agent, would he really have any trade value in the eyes of other teams? They all have equal value?
You have to admit ... getting a seventh for a FA would be sweetEven if Bolden were not a free agent, would he really have any trade value in the eyes of other teams?
I wonder if white players are the market inefficiency, or players who don't have good measurables in glamour stats like the 40 yard dash even if they excel in other ways?Insert "we have all the white guys" joke here.
http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/football/burkhead-makes-his-case-at-nfl-combine/article_ffee2eaa-689d-5eea-8547-719ef5eaad99.htmlBurkhead’s official 40-yard dash time was 4.73 seconds, which ranked 25th among the 33 running backs and fullbacks who ran at the combine. ...
The fact the former Husker running back tested near the top at his position in most of the other drills could help make up for not running the 40 time he'd hoped for.
Measuring in at 5-foot-10 and 214 pounds, Burkhead ranked second among running backs in three categories: vertical leap (39 inches), broad jump (10 feet, 5 inches) and 20-yard shuttle run ( 4.09 ).
He also was fourth at his position in the cone drill ( 6.85) and fifth in the 60-yard shuttle run ( 11.51).
I thought this thread just established that trading players not on your roster for draft picks was the new market inefficiency.I wonder if white players are the market inefficiency, or players who don't have good measurables in glamour stats like the 40 yard dash even if they excel in other ways?

Isn't the thing that sets Bolden apart his special teams ability? Can any of the current RBs replace that?More of an impact on Bolden, I would gather
Burkhead led the Bengals in special teams tackles this season.Isn't the thing that sets Bolden apart his special teams ability? Can any of the current RBs replace that?
I think players that don't have good measurables in glamour stats who LOVE to play football and were leaders on their respective teams have been a market inefficiency the Patriots have taken advantage of for years. Brady, Bruschi, Edelman, etc. all would fall in that category I would think.I wonder if white players are the market inefficiency, or players who don't have good measurables in glamour stats like the 40 yard dash even if they excel in other ways?
That answers that. Yeah, I'd expect Bolden to be on shaky ground.Burkhead led the Bengals in special teams tackles this season.
Yeah. I hate the ones that are bummed about it.He already changed his twitter bio. I love guys who are excited about coming here.
Dude you know what I mean. Some of these guys comment very little till training camp. Dude is so pumped he immediately updated his twitter bio within minutes of the announcement. Not something most pickups doYeah. I hate the ones that are bummed about it.
I know. I was kidding.Dude you know what I mean. Some of these guys comment very little till training camp. Dude is so pumped he immediately updated his twitter bio within minutes of the announcement. Not something most pickups do
Not a lot of broken tackles in those highlights, but good use of blockers. There's a lot to be excited about.
If the music accompanying that highlight reel doesn't pump you up for some NFL football, then nothing will. So, am I just falling into the trap of loving a guy based on a HIGHLIGHT VIDEO or is this kid as dynamic as I think?
Hey, there will be no mocking of Christopher Cross in this thread! If the music accompanying that highlight reel doesn't pump you up for some NFL football, then nothing will.
Yeah, and I feel like he already slowed down late this season, as his Dec/Jan/SB stats were down from his impressive earlier season numbers.Love what Blount has done here but wouldn't be heartbroken to see him slow down somewhere else. He's 30, and that moment can come quick for big backs like him.
Yeah, I feel like even if they bring him back, they should add a younger guy to compete. Then again, I would have said the same thing last year.Yeah, and I feel like he already slowed down late this season, as his Dec/Jan/SB stats were down from his impressive earlier season numbers.
And not much tip toeing at the line. He is accelerating in many of those highlights once he gets the handoff and hits the line with a head of steam. Seems quite the change from the more deliberate approach from Blount. Not a lot of broken tackles in those highlights, but good use of blockers.
Other teams players will have to spend extra time putting on ankle breaking preventative pads before games. There's a lot to be excited about.
Is that the guy who sang the theme song to Arthur and always wore his clothes backwards?Hey, there will be no mocking of Christopher Cross in this thread!
And Cooks. Also he should get along with Slater just fine. Apparently a very devout Christian.
