KC's hunt with phenomenal balance, leg drive, and awareness to finish off a TD run.

Chiefs-Eagles just got interesting.... TD and onside kick recovery by Philly, only 5 seconds left though. Basically need a hail mary.

What's with Fox's graphics package? It looks like something you'd see in a high school game.

Chargers caught a break on that last drive -- DPI called in the end zone on a ball the receiver never could've caught.

Can someone tell me the last time there was a documented hit of lightning at any major league baseball or football field ? Some of the things we now are terrified of mystify me...like peanut butter.
A few years ago, 2013 I think, they delayed the first game of the season in Denver because of lightning. Not sure this is a new thing. If lightning strikes, the show will not go on.

Who's more miserable? Cutler or Rivers? I don't think I've seen either one smile. Call this the Stinkface Bowl

Edit: Shit, not Graham again.

The fact that we've been lucky up to now doesn't make the risk reasonable.

Great poise by Goff extending that play. Rams need 6 here.

Just how low does the probability have to be before it's more than 'luck' ?

NOAA says that during the 10-year period of 2004-2013, 33 people were killed and 234 were injured by lightning strikes annually. On average, lightning strikes are fatal to about 10 percent of people who are struck.Jul 16, 2015

Based on those stats Mauf you should never EVER get behind the wheel of a car again because you've just been 'lucky' so far.

Unbelievable to me that an NFL QB can't take a snap under center. Big disadvantage in a short-yardage situation not to be able to force the D to defend the QB sneak.

It's not about safety, it's about liability.

How many people do something as risky as sitting in the upper reaches of a stadium during a lightning storm?

I mean, I think people are stupidly afraid of shark attacks, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea to swim near the seals.

That too.
Not going to hijack, but aside from a few cases on golf courses and one literally in a hut at the summit of a mountain....doesn't actually happen in courts, especially since a significant amount of strikes/injuries occur inside all sorts of structures, so unless you are advocating a requirement to provide Faraday Cages that can accommodate 50,000 at each venue....it's one more example of theater to appear to be caring

So they didn't say he couldn't take a snap from under center? I'm just trying to understand. That would be like Jon Lester not being able to throw to first.
It's not unusual in college -- lots of spread-system teams never practice putting the QB under center. I just haven't seen an NFL QB who hadn't figured that out, and I would've thought getting Goff comfortable under center (at least in short-yardage situations) would've been a priority at some point last year.

The cradle of the game.
Raiders beating the Jets on the perfectly groomed baseball diamond. Patriots play there 11/19 but there will be sod in the infield then.
With OAK on the road the next 2 weeks, this might be the last NFL game ever played on a diamond. Next home game is 10/8, after the A's season will have already come to merciful end.
