Jets would have kicked with 50 something seconds left. I think both teams did the right thing. Philly was right to let them score and the Jets were right to take the TD, though going down on the one foot line might have been the play.

15-14 with 0 TO and about 1 min left

vs.

20-14 with 2 TO and 1:46 left

Can see why Phi let them score but it's not like the game was over if the Jets ran 3 plays and kicked a FG.

Exactly. That is why you score the TD. A more than a FG lead is big.

I can understand the call from both sides... but in the end it's sort of a zero sum game right?

If Phi was "right" to let him score, then the Jets probably didn't want him to.

I mean, he made the Super Bowl last year (made the playoffs the year before) and was 2 plays away from winning the SB and his team is 5-0 this year.

There are QBs that are MUCH MUCH worse.
Obvoiusly but I think the Eagles were hasty in giving the 50M/yr contract. He seems more good and not great to me.

Maybe Philly wasn't right to let him score.

Definitely possible...

Just saying in the end it can't really be the right call for them both to do that unless it's truly 50/50.

Maybe it was!
Yeah i think it was some weird gray area in between with no perfect answer. But I would have done what the Jets did. And as Philly, I would have tried to force a FG.

Is the Sirianni hate anything other than fan hate?
A lot of it is the ridiculous fake tough guy attitude and sideline antics (remember how Hurts had to stop him from doing crazy first down signal in the super bowl during a review). He comes off as a complete ass. I've crowd sourced this before and every non-eagle fan I've talked to think he's a complete jackass (maybe that's because I'm surrounded by Giants fans).

Going to be a real battle between the Hurts truthers and Purdy truthers this week...

Purdy put his team in the exact position to win the game and Hurts flat out lost the game for his. Just Saying!

They both had real bad games, but I'm not sure this week really changes much in the NFC.

Such an absurdly bad last INT by Hurts given the situation. I know he probably didn't see the safety, but damn. Hard to picture Zach Wilson going 50 yards for a FG with Haasan Reddick treating him like a speedbag every other play.

Folks here would hold that missed FG against Mac.

It's the quarterback, Purdy sucks, if he made plays earlier, they wouldn't have needed the field goal.

Or something.

Of course, shouldn't surprise anyone Purdy played his worst game when CMC and Deebo got hurt. What a coincidence, almost like playmakers matter.

Can you direct your ire at the few people who are still blaming Mac for everything and spare the rest of us all this passive aggressive stuff?

Wide right. Against the Giants.
