Opening line is Iowa - 31/2. Fairly competitive game on paper. They could win or they could lose. No one is a prohibitive favorite in this game, which is the way you hope these things go. It should be a good game and the turnout hopefully will be there. The one thing about 2014 was that it was a Saturday and this one is on a Wednesday. Also the weather cooperated in 2014. Could be one of those dry cold December nights or it could be played in 10 inches of snow. Hopefully the weather holds and enough people are off ( unfortunately I can;t make the game this year like I did in 2014, due to prior commitments ) so there is a good turnout in the Bronx.Agreed, in terms of location/possibility of fan turnout Pinstripe Bowl was always ideal.
In terms of opponent, Iowa is pretty good too because they are a recognizable school with some cache from beating Ohio State, but they probably aren't much better than BC. The two schools had very similar seasons insofar as both teams mostly beat the teams they were supposed to beat and lost to the teams they were supposed to lose to, with a few surprising wins and a surprising loss (Purdue for them, Wake Forest for us).
I can't say I particularly followed the Big Ten this year so I'm not totally sure how the two teams match up - it will be interesting to see what the Vegas line for this game ends up being (I expect it will be a relatively small line in favor of Iowa, in large part due to the absence of Brown).
I was there and it was fun. Was also PSU’s first bowl game since Sandusky and lots of PSU/BC fans living nearby so the atmosphere was very good. I don’t think Iowa/BC will measure up nearly as well but still should be a fun outing for people.Opening line is Iowa - 31/2. Fairly competitive game on paper. They could win or they could lose. I agree. I was also at the game and really had a good time. It helped that the weather was awesome.I was there and it was fun. Iowa fans are better people than PSU fans so the atmosphere should be better. Plus everyone can wax poetically about Andre TippettI was there and it was fun. Both BC admissions and athletics recruit quite heavily in NY/NJ so it's not that unnatural. They are the "home" team for the bowl. They dress in the Yankees clubhouse this time. Interesting that they play in Fenway the last few times and dress in the "Yankees" clubhouse there as well.
Because DazQuick snap? Clock stopped? One TO left? Some things never change. Why not give it to Dillon once and call timeout, or at the very least, not rush the snap?
Because DazThis is a winnable game, please Daz don’t fuck this up
Right at the point of attack too. Good break. Thanks for missing the BITB
