Rob about 8-10 feet from the pin. Lindheim on the green 25-30 feet. Hadley in the bunker. Huge putt coming up for Rob after he sees what everyone else does.
You know what's funny about that? I couldn't even get my own wife to stop whatever she was doing and watch Rob yesterday. I honestly think I could be starting in a World Series game, and my wife would watch Ray Donovan or something else instead. She hates sports. When I told her he got his Card back, her response was "Oh, that's really nice. Good for him." And then it was back to yelling at the kids or whatever.Getting to watch Rob wrap it up was a lot of fun, even my wife was pulling for him. Tell him we said congratulations, and I hope to see him on TV a ton next year!
Next season he's getting his own thread. I meant to break this all out this year but laziness kicked in.I told Rob about this thread a few years back, and I'm not sure how much he really understood what I meant. He's definitely aware that a group of internet dorks from a baseball message board follow his career as closely as his own family though. I've said a few times that when he wins a PGA tournament, I'm going to print out these threads, and we're going to use them as the basis for the movie that needs to be made about his career.
I strongly endorse this idea.Next season he's getting his own thread. I meant to break this all out this year but laziness kicked in.
Yes, that's a pretty awesome idea, although him getting his own thread could be a jinx and we must be wary of the mush.Next season he's getting his own thread. I meant to break this all out this year but laziness kicked in.
He's playing some pretty steady golf right now. What a great couple of months.Rob makes birdie on 18 to shoot 66. Another great day. He'll probably need to go seriously low tomorrow to win, but it would be a lot of fun to see him make a run at it.
Yeah, not what you want to see:Looks like a hiccup on 10 here. Come on Rob, save par
They really need to build in some sort of an offseason. The grind of the last 2-3 months has to be incredibly taxing.I think we definitely need a new thread for Rob to get rid of the Web.com mojo, and start some new PGA mojo. Rough day today. He missed a two foot putt on #1 and made bogey, and then he 3 putted from inside 4 feet on #3, and it went downhill. Sitting at +6 through 16 right now. He won't sniff the cut. His brother said he's just exhausted after the recent grind. Might be better off missing the cut, and going home for some rest before heading back out, but someone start a new thread asap. I can't do it, because I'll never forgive myself if he doesn't play well.
