Amazing that Kamara lasted until the third round in 2017. He'd look better in a Patriots jersey than Kony Ealy.

I just realized that I'm watching a NFC vs NFC game on CBS. I guess it's because there are only three games going on right now, and all of them would be traditionally FOX games (NFC team on the road, or NFC vs NFC).

yeah, he's not quite Bortles bad in that his INT rate is lower, but overall, suprisingly similar the last 2 years
This totally discounts what Dak brings to the running game (beyond their own rushing yards, running QBs make their RBs better), plus I’d take JAX’s receiver corps over DAL’s (though both are below average). Plus, Dak is two years younger; the Jags are paying Bortles real money, and you have to assume he’s close to a finished product at this point.

The Jags are uniquely fucked wrt their QB situation. At least the Bucs can move on from Winston after this season. (I guess you could argue the Giants are in the same boat, but they’ll likely be in a position to address that in the next draft.)

And they're talking about how amazing it is how good Riggins was at age 33-34. I know there is a different aging curve for RBs and QBs, but Tom would laugh if he deigned to care.

Oh, Having Bortles is far worse, the point was more that Dak isn't a good quarterback at all.

This is their 2017s compared:

Bortles- Age: 25; Comp%: 60.2; ANY/A 6.21; 21 TD; 13 INT; 57 rushes for 322 yards
Dake- Age: 24; Comp%: 62.9; ANY/A 5.74; 22 TD; 13 INT; 57 rushes for 357 yards

They were essentially the same, mostly shitty QBs last year, and I don't buy that there is a significant difference in their terrible receiving corps,

You could build a team of Pro Bowlers approaching retrospective team construction this way.
Oh I know. I guess all I'm saying is that Kamara is amazing and I love watching him play and I wish he was in the Pats' backfield. Nothing against BB the GM.

I'd like to ask this very important question.

Just how in the HELL did the Bills go into Minnesota and obliterate them?

The Bills defense has been extremely good, but mostly it was... 1 55 yard screen pass, a drive helped by 2 Personal fouls, and a whole bunch of turnovers.

Any given Sunday. Remember a few years ago when the patriots lost by 20 to the Browns?

Ford: "We make cars"

Not for long. Soon you will make A car and a few Trucks. Good luck with that Production Model.

Ben Watson (!) pulls in Brees’s 500th TD pass
Fantastic. This is why I love this thread. I rarely watch the NFL outside of the Pats but I feel like I can follow along with other games and get the relevant details thanks to BBTL.

I think they are going to continue making cars outside of the US.

I still don't think folks are giving Dak a fair shake. He's not a top 10 QB, but he's nowhere near as bad as that team is making him look. I still believe they have the worst group of receivers in the NFL (maybe Buffalo is worse), quick can anyone name their tight end? Zeke has 12 carries for 19 yards today. Allen Hurns just dropped a very catchable ball on 3rd and 11. Their offensive line is offensive. Their first three games on the road were at the Panthers, Seahawks and Texans, all of which are pretty good defenses in today's NFL. Add in Jason Garrett, and well...I don't think there are many guys that would be much more successful in that offense than Dak is right now. 3-3 is probably about as good as one should expect.

Wow, Saints passing up the tying field goal with 7 minutes left, and it's close as to whether or not they got it.

If you're playing the Saints, you simply cannot let Michael Thomas beat you for a touchdown on a straight slant like that. That was wayyyyyyyyyyy too easy.

I'm still bummed that he never got a ring with the Patriots (other than his first season when he was injured almost the entire year).

I'd say that the Jags, have a worse WR group (Allen Hurns started ahead of most of them last year) Browns maybe? Landry is good but the rest are really bad. Geoff Swaim is a good blocking TE. Generally though Dak is a not very good QB and has shown it since the start of last year. He's probably in the tier below the Dalton/Flacco tier, so in the big "looking for a new starter" pile with Tyrod, Bortles, Jameis etc.

Great call Sean Payton, AK41 gashing then and you throw on third from empty set.

Contrast with Bill running James White down the Bears throat play after play.

I would personally take Westbrook, Cole, Moncrief and Yeldon as a third down back over Beasley, Gallup, Hurns and I guess, Elliott, who they don't use much in the passing game. But the Jags aren't good either.

The Browns are light years better. Landry, Higgins, Callaway, Njoku and Duke Johnson on third down? Shit, that's actually a decent receiving corps for any team.

So, the Cowboys, Jags and Bills are the bottom 3 in the league, in some order, and we're blaming the quarterback? Like I said, I think people are being a bit unfair to Dak. Now, he makes a great throw for first down, and his lineman gets called for holding, and he's forced to hold the ball on third and 14 and hope one of these shitbums can get open, they can't, he gets sacked, fumble....Blame Dak.

I said the same thing right above you. Plus, Brees was rolling right, from the right hash. He ran out of room in three strides. Stupidity.

That holding call on Williams was absolutely atrocious but it goes with about five other favorable calls Washington has gotten today.

And the Saints could have either burned the Raven's last TO or run the clock to the 2-minute warning, instead they have an incompletion to stop the clock.

Peyton is playing this game like he is facing a great QB, not Flacco.

Yeah this is ridiculous. The holding calls are out of control.
