That's two very poor plays by Tennessee at the goaline. They were lucky once.

Dion Lewis nowhere to be found. He's fast and the hardest guy to tackle, so it's important to make sure you don't involve him.

With :35 left, why was there going to be a 10 second runoff? LA called a timeout to prevent it but I wasn’t sure why it happened in the first place...

Vrabel's got to be a lot of bluster with little brains. The number of times I've seen him screaming on the sidelines, and then to make that kind of emotional meltdown in coaching to lose? Crazy.

Because the review. The TD stopped the clock, but the rule is if the player is ruled down in play, there is a ten second runoff to account for the time that would have run off if called correctly.

Sneak over right guard looked completely open, is Mariota not allowed to audible in that situation or something?

Watching game at sports bar on Broadway in Nashville. The locals are pissed. F-bombs galore. Kick your XP and move on.

Wouldn't it be something like... Titans had no TOs left and if on replay Mariota was ruled down the clock would've kept running?

Huh? His team was in a situation where they gain one yard and they win the game. I have no issue at all with going for it, but the playcall itself was questionable.

Plus you are on the road in a hostile environment. Go for the win on the road, play for the tie at home.

Now Cowher gets to go on his anti-analytics rant!

You really think their chances were better going for it all rather than playing an overtime? They clearly had a better percentage playing an overtime.

Road maybe, but hardly hostile. They had won the crowd.

ignore Cowher, this was bad analytics.

Going for 2 is the obvious correct call. The play was garbage, but the odds of getting 1 yard are significantly better than the odds of winning in overtime.

Getting one yard on the goal-line are not spectacular odds. Getting more yards than a team with no running game, yeah I'd take that.

Mind that you would be tied in overtime. Your opponent has to win, whereas they had to do nothing by going for it.

Something today I’ve never seen in 40+ years watching the NFL. DC is getting 2 1pm and 2 4pm games. Pats/Bears and Panthers/Eagles now then Washington/Dallas and Ravens/Saints later. I guess since Baltimore is now considered part of the DC market but I don’t know why we’re getting 2 early games. Not complaining.

FYI, this is the same ruling that led to the end of the Falcons-Lions game last year in Detroit - I think it was Golden Tate who seemed to have scored a TD with 8 seconds left, but he was ruled down short of the goalline after a review, and the 10 second run-off ended the game (because the Lions had no timeouts left).

Simultaneous missed extra points for TB and Indy.
My crackpot theory on why so many kickers seem to be struggling in the NFL: extra points are now 33-yarders instead of 20-yarders, but fans and coaches still view them as something that should be automatic, so the pressure involved with them is disproportionately high, and any misses are magnified...which leads to more pressure on all FGs under 40 yards, and a self-destructive cycle for all but the best and mentally strongest kickers.

4th and 2 and Cleveland goes for it. Baker runs for the first down but doesn't go down, holding the ball like a loaf of bread. Obviously it gets knocked out of his hand and it goes backwards 3 yards and they lose the first down.

That's really an inexcusable for any professional QB. Get the first down and GO DOWN, especially because he was surrounded by a bunch of Tampa defensive players.

Jets spent a good amount of dollars on a FA C and the fucking guy can’t snap the ball. Unbelievable.

The Jags have absolutely collapsed since they won their super bowl.
Their Week 1 win against the Giants hasn’t aged well either. Other than the Pats’ game, they simply haven’t looked like a good team. The QB situation is a big part of the problem, but you can’t lay all the blame on Bortles.

Jags & Eagles, the last two teams we faced in the playoffs last year, are 3-4. meanwhile we're set to go to 5-2.

the Pats' consistency in this run can't be overstated, even if we have 1 less title than we ought to.
