That's true, but I don't hate Montreal losing Sergachev. We saw what McAvoy did and Sergachev has been hyped by some scouts/media too. Drouin is nice but has been a bit disappointing. Still, Montreal got him for a nice contract extension. 5.5/yr for ages 23-29 is nice even if he only puts up 60 pts per year. Not good from the B's point of view, 2 division rivals making a win-win deal with each other
I just want to see if Claude has a stroke the first time Drouin doesn't get back on D.5.5/yr for ages 23-29 is nice even if he only puts up 60 pts per year.
We as in Bruins fans, or as in NHL fans?In response to a tweet about if we should expect news today:
If they trade one, don't they still have to expose the other, or Zucker?Seems they're likely to move Brodin or Dumba before the freeze tomorrow.
According to several sources, there is a legitimate possibility Hossa has played his final NHL game. (He could not be reached for comment. Neither could his agent, Ritch Winter. The Blackhawks declined to comment.) Apparently, he suffers from a serious allergic reaction to the equipment he wears.
The sources who confirmed the allergy stressed not to make fun of it, with one saying, “It’s only funny to anyone who’s never had it.” Details are sketchy, because no one would give full information, but the medication necessary to combat the allergy is potent enough that doctors wanted his blood tested every few weeks to make sure there were no major side effects.
That’s very serious stuff, and word is doctors worried about Hossa taking the medicine for extended periods of time.
That was going to be my guess and makes a lot more sense.I can't find the link, but apparently it's a skin condition where he is allergic to his own sweat. The equipment just exasperates the problem.
I'm wondering if the Blackhawks and the league had discussed this already. In fact CHI had to waste a protected spot on Hossa.
