Awesome. Belichick really is great with the media when they're not asking dumb questions.
Or when it's all over (the season) and he can finally relax.

Funny him saying when he and Linda got back to the hotel at 4 a.m. and the replays were on, they had to make sure it wasn't a dream, like a lot of people here were saying the next morning.

I just checked, and the situation with the 1987 Redskins' QB position was pretty crazy.

Jay Schroeder started 10 games (all in regular season) and the Redskins won 8 of them. Ed Rubbert started 3 games (all in regular season) and the Redskins won all 3. So, two different QB started games in the regular season which the team won.

Doug Williams started two games in the regular season, and the Redskins lost both. However, he came in as a replacement in 3 games, making more attempts than the starter in all 3, and the team won all 3 of those.

Moreover, in one of the games Rubbert started, he made only 2 pass attempts before being replaced by Tony Robinson, who finished the game (with 18 attempts), leading the Redskins to a win.

So, you can make a good case that this Redskins team really won games during the regular season with 4 different QBs.

In the playoffs, Williams started each game, and the Redskins rolled to a victory each time, beating the Broncos 42-10 in the Super Bowl. Schroeder was credited with one pass attempt (which resulted in a sack) in that SB victory.
1987 was a strike season. Robinson and Rubbert were scabs, playing against scabs. Not really the same thing.

I forget who, but someone called the JE11 catch as the cover photo. Good job.

You can clearly see in that picture that the ball is lying flat on the ground between his hands. It should have been ruled no catch. Conspiracy!

Thought someone might enjoy this...my brother wrote me a text in the 4th quarter after having been at work. He's more fair-weather, more of a Red Sox guy...

Hadn't seen this before. It's pretty well done (jumps between Falcons and Patriots radio calls)

NFL Replay Game of the Week is on tonight (8 or 9pm, I forget)
Inside the NFL is on tomorrow night (maybe 9 or 10pm on NFLN)
Turning Point is on tomorrow night (I believe 1:30 AM ET on Thursday, technically - on NBC Sports)
Sound FX is on Thursday

They are all going to be epic. Especially Sound FX and Turning Point.

Man, I could watch Malcolm Mitchell lose his mind when he sees the ref signal TD over and over again.

That play took a phenomenal effort by White, but if Mitchell doesn't hold his block as well as he did, maybe that corner becomes the 3rd man in and stops the play short or, hell, strips the ball. Great game for him, and ideally it will serve as a launching point for a big season a la his namesake building on a single incredible quarter two years ago.

To be fair, this performance wasn't as surprising as Mitchell was extremely solid once he started getting consistent snaps. He's going to feast on those timing comeback routes, and slants. Good routes, good hands, good toughness, blocks well. Probably not going to be the guy who takes the top off a defense, but he fits like a glove with this system. Definite hit for Belichick.

I think Mitchell's floor is David Givens. The kid just looks like he gets it. It would really surprise me if he didn't pan out.

That video is great. Someone should tell him it's pretty easy and legal to get Havana Club here now.

On Inside the NFL, Brady tells Edelman on the last play to wait to review, and JE refuses to celebrate telling everyone to get off the field until BB tells him it's confirmed, and he goes nuts.

I love JE11

Are you going to continue the tradition that you started in 2015, (uploading all the NFLN/HBO/Showtime videos about the Pats?) You have done an amazing job since the videos from the last SB win have not been taken down yet (2 years later)

The Inside The NFL highlights were good, but I hope we get more on soundfx. My favorite part was Julian shooing people off the field because they are reviewing the White TD, when he runs into Belichick. He asks him if they are reviewing it. Belichick says, about as matter of factly as if he's just out for a Sunday stroll, oh, yeah, they already reviewed it. That and Jules when he makes the catch were the best parts. Having LGBT mic'd up was good. But overall the package wasn't on the same level as the Seattle Super Bowl soundfx stuff.
