Allen still gives them a punchers' chance, but they do seem a bit off. They'd need to play a lot of A games in a row to get through the AFC.Said it before, saying it again. Buffalo’s window has closed.
Timing is everything comedy inThe Bengals have yet to do anything but score, right? No punts, no turnovers.
One punt by each team now. No turnovers until now!The Bengals have yet to do anything but score, right? No punts, no turnovers.
Holding on Cappa, his second penalty. What was that call?
With arm strength and mobility and the hope of making a big play. When Allen looks bad, he looks Mac bad.
I didn’t see much there.Holding on Cappa, his second penalty.
Yeah, this is an unwatchable product.Flags on literally every play. I have watched a shitload of football over the last three decades and I don't remember the game being this hard to watch. And I'm just talking average games between teams I'm uninvested in, this is not a "the NFL sucks post Brady" post.
I am not trying to get into one of those Mac-Burrow comparisons (ew!...why? gross!) or anything. Just saying his floor is pretty damn low. His ability to turn something into nothing is why we buy the tickets. I even am ok with him despite having a lifelong aversion to anything Bills. Rooting for them. Receiving them. EtcWith arm strength and mobility and the hope of making a big play.
The call requires an imminent loss of yardage due to defensive pressure. CC was right about why the call isn’t in the spirit of the rule but the bigger issue for me is that it wasn’t in the letter of the rule either. It was a clean pocket.I take CCs point but it would be a lot to expect the refs to know route combos/options when a pass misses by 20 yards.
I wonder how bad the officiating needs to get before the league does something. The ref ball is out of control. People bet on these games.I think some of you don’t understand the definition of “unwatchable”. You know, because you’re, like, watching.
The officiating is abysmal. But there are still dozens of breathtaking, freakish athletic plays every week in the NFL. That’s why I watch.
Infinitely bad. The officiating has been awful for years and years. The league only adds more inane complexity to the rule book and demands the refs throw more flags.I wonder how bad the officiating needs to get before the league does something. The ref ball is out of control. People bet on these games.
I could have sworn it was a point of emphasis -- not taking "intent" or believability or whatever into account -- just was there a receiver in the area or was there not?Did a memo go out to the refs or something? I swear we’ve seen multiple calls over the last couple weeks that, maybe they actually are grounding, but never would have been called in years past.
This was all wrong. Take fail!Feels like Buffalo's defensive adjustments at the half were pretty good along with their offensive tweaks. This game may get good quickly. Of course the refs will always be lurking, ready to ruin all the fun.
