LA recovered it and the dude was down then the Raider knocked it out of his hands. But they never call that correctly.

100% disagree. After two straight TD drives the defense is going to be much more worn out than after just the one drive. That''s going to increase the odds of converting on the second try.
It's not a bad play at all honestly, takes an insane amount of balls, but it's often the right call given the OT rules meaning you could easily not see the ball (especially given you could give up a Flacco).
Is the tuck rule still a thing? Because it would have been nice if that came into play somehow.
given sub patterns... dubious, there isn't really any evidence that 2pt conversions are successful more late in games. Certainly not enough so to offset the clock advantages of knowing what you need.
