I thought that going for the RNC there instead of just trying to pound away at a stunned opponent demonstrated a very mature mindset. Some fighters see a guy's knees wobble and they flip out with hasty and moderately effective strikes.I agree, Weebs. He looked extremely accurate with his strikes. And if you have been keeping up with the commentary outside of the octagon, Cole Miller has been one of the guys that has been very vocal against wrestlers. He isn't a fan of lay and pray/controlling the clock (Maynard) or point striking (Edgar) .. He rocks Pearson and then sinks in the RNC, what a way to make a statement!
Miller's subs are his strength. I think with a guy like him he'd naturally go with an RNC in that situation, as opposed to a Liddell-type fighter who'd try to cave in the guy's skull.I thought that going for the RNC there instead of just trying to pound away at a stunned opponent demonstrated a very mature mindset. Also, Nate will replace Vitor against Okami.Vitor replaces Sonnen at 122 due to the positive test.
Any sign of what Sonnen tested positive for? I haven't read anything, yet, and Sonnen has been quiet for once.
You're 0 for 2 so far, and both were decisions.Dunham over Sherk. Sherk is old school and Dunham is the new breed plus he is strong as fuck.
Stephen over Melvin. Another fun match. Heathen with a submission victory.
I truly believe all these fights will be finished. This card is quietly stacked with real fighters. Oh and go Matt Mitrione!
Well, you got those two winners right but both decisions.Bader over Lil Nog. Lil Nog had a hard time with Brilz who isn't half the wrestler that Bader is. Plus the dude has heavy fucking hands. Bader by TKO.
Lytle over Serra. Fun fun match up. Lytle by some kind of submission.
Sopcast froze up for both round 2 and 3 of that fight for me, which was pretty fail.I didn't see Nog and Bader but I'm reading it was a screwjob. Comments?
I don't see the hype for this sport, unless tonight was about 300% worse than usual.
Aldo: When I don't have a fight lined up and am just waiting I'll get up to 162 pounds. When I'm active and know I'll be fighting, I generally stay at around 158 pounds or so. Making weight is horrible. I hate having to diet, limit what I eat. I like to eat well.
It was fight of the year in my book. Diaz stood and banged with Noons for five rounds, outboxing the boxer.Diaz made a few take down attempts in the final round.I was glad that they kept the fight standing because it was a pleasure to watch them beat the hell out of one another.Hopefully the rubber match will happen later this year.An entertaining main event: Diaz defeats Noons by unanimous decision. I missed the third and part of the fourth round, but both guys were standing and banging for most of what I saw. Interesting that Diaz had problems taking Noons down (I think he only took him down once or twice and didn't hold him down long), but still managed to get the win.
Just a reminder. They are fighting in London today. If you want to catch it live, it's at 3pm EST and UFC.com will have a stream I believe. Spike will air the tape delay at around 8PM EST tonight.
WAR Dan Hardy. I want to see a ground game!
I love Condit. I was laughing my ass off at how completely mental he looked in his walk out. And yeah, he is tough as nails.:-(
That knockout was like watching a video game. Both dudes swing with the same hook, only one lands flush. Those are the breaks.
Carlos Condit is a tough motherfucker, Hardy hit him a couple of times and he kept on coming. That catiputles him into the 170 mix. Right up there with Jake Shields, Martin Kampmann, Jon Fitch, and Josh Koscheck.
Man, I don't know how Dana would try to sell Shields vs. Fitch. That's going to the scorecards guaranteed.Condit is going to have to get in line. Fitch has already said he wants the winner of Shield/Kampmann.
Kongo needs to get cut already. His showing against Paul was laughable and his latest fight was a joke. Dude gassed big time.
Bipsing sucks. You're right he is there as a marketing tool. He has zero power in his hands.
I still see Dana doing his best to position Bisping into a title fight at some point in the upcoming year, probably taking place in the UK for that matter. Gotta work what angles are left lol.Bipsing sucks. You're right he is there as a marketing tool. He has zero power in his hands.
