Next year is being touted as one of the strongest drafts in recent memory.Bigpupp said:The Astros might enjoy tonight, but they also haven't added any significant talent to their system in 2 years. Punting an entire year of development is a really, really bad idea. I get the strategy, but you never see it happen for a reason.
Now if next year's draft looked as good as 2011 I might be there with you, but it looks about as strong as this one. Take the talent when you can get it.

Probably about to be 3 in a row.pokey_reese said:Welp, Bregman is off the board early. Back-to-back SS picks.
Do you have a link that says that? I've listened to a few podcasts this week that say otherwise.Papelbon said:Next year is being touted as one of the strongest drafts in recent memory.
I don't, sorry. But I've read numerous articles and chats the last couple weeks that have been pretty adamant that next year is far far stronger than this year. On my phone but when I get in front of a computer I will take a look for them. I know Law is one such proponent of 2016.Bigpupp said:Do you have a link that says that? Edit: and strong still isn't close to the 2011 draft. That draft was amazing.

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/2015-mlb-draft-trends-and-predictions-more-pitching-and-high-school-prospects/If you don’t tune in Monday, you’ll miss a draft that’s shaping up to be a weird one. “I’ve been covering the draft since 2009, and this is easily the weakest class in terms of quality at the top and quantity overall that I’ve covered,” Christopher Crawford, Baseball Prospectus’s new senior prospect writer, told me via email. “[ESPN analyst Keith Law] and I have both joked that we’d prefer to just skip this year and combine it with next year, which — on paper — is the best I’ve seen.”

I'll keep watching him because he's your dark horse.
"I think he's very similar to Mookie Betts in a lot of ways," said one evaluator of Chavis. "The bat is special and will carry Chavis. Very adavances approach. He's likely ready for shortstop at Lowell. It's an odd profile because of his size, but he has a chance to stick at third with a plus bat and above-average power."
Probably the one organization that would benefit most from a top pitching prospect. Last two not named Chi Chi were Holland and Feliz.TimScribble said:Rumblings are Tate to Texas.

Supposedly his signing bonus demands are huge. Still would love him at 7.Snodgrass'Muff said:Cameron still on the board.

So, you liked all the picks that worked out?
