Cavs had it for the taking but couldn't rebound. In fact Mitchell was the only one crashing the offensive boards for the Cavs. Deer in headlights tonight.

Evan Mobley is supposed to be a top defensive player, but him neglecting to box out Randle with his team down two with seconds left, and Brunson missing, cost his team a chance to tie or win game one.

It's odd considering the potential of Mobley and Mitchell's ability to become an absolute flamethrower in the playoffs, but I feel like the Knicks' ceiling is higher (this year anyway). Randle made some real boneheaded plays (in part because of rust), and they still survived.

Mobley was awful today. He completely killed the Cavs. Have to imagine he improves as the series goes on but today was a terrible performance

I really don't get Bickerstaff's choices there... why no Okoro? He's much better than Osman for this matchup.. you need someone to guard Brunson and help on the boards.

Wondering if the Kings make it five minutes before getting screwed by the refs again on some shit from Draymond that any other player in the league gets T'ed up for committing.

Just want to point this out here but RJ Barrett is not good. That Knicks fan trade idea of him being the centerpiece of a Jaylen trade is fucking absurd. Guy is the definition of empty calorie player
Knicks fans are way more aware of this than you, he is the weak link in their rotation and we count the seconds until he is off the floor.

Makes even more sense that some Knicks fan proposed a trade for Jaylen Brown as if RJ had a lot of value (I believe it’s in the Jaylen thread)

Mark Jones is in the dregs of NBA announcing for me (alongside Reggie Miller, Mark Jackson and Mike BreEN calling Celtics games)

Kings-Warriors is going to be great. Just for the record, I have the Kings in 7. The expert consensus for the Warriors is overlooking how good the Kings are.

Kevon Looney is such a solid player. Doing a fantastic job on Sabonis, really respect his growth and maturation as a player.

Here
Golden State looks as good, if not better, than last year. This is a very scary team.

No shit. I mean, I have a bit of PTSD from last year too, but they are very beatable. Especially by a certain Boston team that almost beat them last year and is better this year.
Having Wiggins back for them is huge admittedly.. and I see that Draymond is being allowed to do whatever the hell he wants to again this year.

Warriors look pretty good, but they definitely have weaknesses, starting with their turnovers.
Also Kings are basically the best matchup they could hope for in that it's a team with no real defense.
I'd also say the Warriors are getting the benefit of a really bad shooting night from SAC. The defense has not been the main reason for the 4/20 performance from 3. (Huerter looks a little shook)

Once when they were both still very young, I proposed Greg Bird for Mookie Betts here, surprisingly no one went for that either. :)

It's been awhile since we've heard them, but good lord are Sacramento fans loud. I can't remember the last time hearing any crowd this loud, fitting for their first playoff game in nearly 17 years.

The Kings are indeed the 2022-23 NBA revelation. And they are easy to love too, including their cowbell ringing, beam lighting crazy fanbase.

Draymond is my least favorite player in the NBA by a mile…but Poole is in the top 5 too. Go Kings

Great atmosphere. Feels like a conference finals game, not a first game of the playoffs vibe

Mark Jones is the absolute worst. He makes me hate watching the game.
He’s just so painfully out of touch while trying to be hip and cool. That’s bad enough but the fact that he seems so impressed with himself makes it all the worse
