Sogard is interesting to me. Would like to see him have a good spring. Relatively low K rate, decent OBP, switch hitter with a little bit of pop and speed. Seems like a late bloomer kind of candidate to me.

Too bad we've been deprived of hearing Eck talk about the new pitch clock. I imagine he'd have a lot to say, and it likely would have led to him coining several new phrases and monikers.
If he does and you catch wind of it in advance, please be sure to let me know. I certainly hope that he does -- we'll see.
Making the call about an hour and fifteen minutes too early, ITP"s doing her part to speed up the game.
The ST Youtube replays are SO MUCH WORSE than the regular season. Not official, and they stop early and the you get the contact and you get the fielding but you don't get the flight of the ball.

ST Joe Castig is the best Joe Castig. Even Flemming is tolerable in ST. His sky doesn't beging falling until Opening Day.
I think Hernandez is much better than X defensively, but his hitting is generally so hit or miss, so to speak. Anyway, that throw was gorgeous.

These games are real easy to watch. Only suggestion on the new rules I'd have is I don't really see the need to put the pitch clock on the screen during the regular season as NESN is planning. Even just a few games into spring training, for almost every at bat you wouldn't even know there's a pitch clock if no one mentioned it. The players are just going about their business - as you'd expect.

In the spring training games, they could play for the song they play during Final Jeopardy.
I really hope that they change their mind about that or that it's so small on my screen that I don't notice it.
