For sure. That's definitely gonna need more attention than a Spring Training Clubhouse. Praying for minimal damage.Turner ambulanced to hospital
Castig would have at least mentioned Paul Blair, who was never the same as a hitter after getting beaned in 1970. These guys are just floundering.Listening to these guys try to talk about injuries really exposes their lack of depth. Flemming wants to discuss when Turner can come back and contribute.
I was going to go with Paul SchaalCastig would have at least mentioned Paul Blair, who was never the same as a hitter after getting beaned in 1970. These guys are just floundering.
All I see is a guy with a 0.00 ERA in 4.1 innings pitched with the Red Sox, 7 K's, 1 BB.Meanwhile, the Sox pitcher Gudino, with his lovely 7.something ERA, finally got an out with two on in the ninth.
The 7.something I saw on the NESN screen when he began the inning. I'm way too lazy to have looked that up. Sorry if it was wrong. Perhaps it referred to last year? All I see is a guy with a 0.00 ERA in 4.1 innings pitched with the Red Sox, 7 K's, 1 BB.
I was just joking. He's been pretty terrible in the minors the last few years. Hopefully he has found something & can be a depth option. Was just pointing out that his Spring Training stats are pretty good so far, but obviously in a tiny sample size. The 7.something I saw on the NESN screen when he began the inning. IIRC, they said night game during the game yesterday. ESPN confirms....6:05. (Unless there's a split-squad thing happening that I'm missing).Lineup @ Venice (the other one) to play the Braves 1:05PM:
LF Allen
RF Rfsnyder
1B Casas
2B Arroyo
3B Dalbec
C
DH Palka
CF Rafaela
SS Hamilton, D
Houck on the mound
oops, yeah, apologies, thanks. Weird to have a lineup so early, usually it's like 3 hours.IIRC, they said night game during the game yesterday. ESPN confirms....6:05. (Unless there's a split-squad thing happening that I'm missing).
Yeah, well, you can either hear from Houck or watch the game. I would have preferred the game.Mid-season form for nesn missing the Casas single.
I can understand why people were perturbed by his napping in the clubhouse. Dude is tree trunk sized.
No kidding. That’s about the fastest I’ve seen a player in the Red Sox uniform run.Hamilton, LOL. Holy smokes.
Mata might have gotten through that entire inning in 40.Dalbec struck out in like 20 seconds.
Wow. You really can't just "switch to that other game for a couple of minutes" without missing stuff.Mata might have gotten through that entire inning in 40.
If he can be close to the .338 or so OBP he put up in AA last year, I honestly think he is a very valuable player, and would be spectacular to slot into the 9 slot.Hamilton's speed looks like a real weapon. Interesting to note that Hunter Renfroe is now on his fifth team in five years and is only on a one-year $12mil contract which seems pretty remarkable for a guy who's hit 60 HR over the last two seasons.
