Seems odd they made the tee times so late that they will be flirting with the sunset towards the end. Figured they would have given themselves some leeway.

Obviously they are trying to fill out that timeslot, so they can't really plan to end before about 10:55 or so. Sunset is officially at 11:07

This, and I think they overlook that this isn't middle America where you mostly have crisp daylight/sunsets. LA is a coastal city and you can get haze/smog/fog rolling in at any time.

Disaster by Clark, wow. One of Scheffler, McIlroy, or Fowler winning has to be an overwhelming betting favorite right now.

The penalty drop protocol is so stupid. I wish the usual would just let folks place the ball rather than doing this silly drop it thing.

Looked like Rickie's putts over the last few holes were hit with too much "wellie," as they say on World Tour telecasts

I'm going to watch for Dustin or Xander to possibly post a good score as well. The scores have trended upward every day, so if you can hit a mid 60s round tomorrow the world is your oyster.

I don't think anybody who's earlier enough to have significantly different conditions is close enough to win even with a round in the mid 60's, although they might be able to jump into the back end of the top 10. I think they said yesterday that the farthest back a U.S. Open winner has been going into Sunday was four back.

It’s normal for a major. The regular Tour tournaments they go off early and try to finish around the normal 6:00pm Eastern window.

Thank God they're starting an hour earlier tonight. I'm probably just old, but I had to call it a night and watch the final few holes this morning.

Really excited about the final two pairs and would be happy to see any of them win.

I can’t figure out who to root for between Rory and Rickie. Not discounting Clark, but does nothing for me.

Rickie - Always liked him, would be a great story, he has been good for the game of golf and I love a comeback story.

Rory - I am a Rory fan, and a fan of the PGA Tour it feels like Karma owes him one for the last 12-14 months.

If Scheffler wins its meh to me, just a guy who is so good and probably played well enough to deserve it again.

I don’t think anyone outside the final two groups win.

I feel like I've seen English hit about 10 shots yesterday and today, and each and every one of them was complete shit.

Maybe I just have bad timing, but it's crazy to me that he's still in the top 5.

Rory and I have been through a lot in our parasocial relationship these last few years, and I don’t feel like I’ve gotten as much out of it as I’ve put into it. So I’m going to withhold my enthusiasm for at least the first few holes and drinks.
But I really want this one, dammit!

I'd like to see Fowler win if Rory does his usual, nearly but not quite, in the majors.

I find this to be a very interesting course for me. I have no frame of reference for this type of course. Like i don't know the reasoning behind 290 yard par 3s and 600 odd yard par 5s. That's not a criticism just so different to Links courses and how they are set up to test the golfers.
